<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Philadelphia 112, Washington 106 WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Philadelphia 76ers played without Allen Iverson, blew a 21-point first-half lead and trailed by 13 in the fourth quarter Saturday night before rallying for their fourth straight win, 112-106 over the slumping Washington Wizards. Andre Iguodala, Willie Green and Marc Jackson scored 20 points each to lead six 76ers in double figures as the team spread the wealth without NBA scoring leader Iverson, who sprained both thumbs in Friday night's win over Cleveland. Philadelphia improved to just 2-5 with Iverson out of the lineup. </div> Source Nicely played for the bench of Phildelphia. This just shows how valueable Willie Green is as a player and how it important he is to this team when Iverson is out. The entire team stuck together and played tough against Washington, and it shows with the incredible win they had over them. I mean, even though they couldn't contain Gilbert Arenas, they shutdown everyone else, so great defense for Phildelphia. Now, we'll get closer to higher playoff spots and hopefully, less risk of losing the playoff spot.

The Sixers came up huge which was key with both star players out and thats what we need. Good emergence from Willie Green, this proved a saying of "I`m still here." Just 6 games left, lets make it happen and improve our playoff seed and finish the season strong.
That shows that the sixers are a good team wtih iverson and most teams are not good with their best player injured.
Im really impressed with Willie Green, most of guys who are supposed to start at the start of the season and end up playing few minutes are usually frustrated but Willie shows that he can play and I admire that.
boston lost last night too. i don't want to get anybody's hopes up, but they're only 2 games out of the division lead and that 3rd seed. anyways, willie gave me more reason to love him than i already did and hopefully he will see more playing time from here on.
I'm telling yall, Willie Green is a sophomore sensation. When is the last time you have actually seen him got solid minutes? Yet he comes out and gives us 20 points and 8 assists. Which is huge! This was a great win by the 76ers and a great team effort. Everyone chipped in at that shows the 76ers aren't just Allen Iverson and Chris Webber they are a solid team regardless and that's definitely a misconception among most people.
This is why it makes me so mad that Willie Green doesn't get more minutes and the system that he's stuck in. To sum it up, he's kind of like a poor man's Iverson that can't shoot the ball as well. However, I definitely think he would be better than he is now if given the minutes and opportunities. With Webber, he should be a great cutter and slasher going into the paint, but yet O'Brien doesn't utilize him. I can go on and on about this.
