<div align="center"> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Toronto Raptors announced today that they will make a special presentation to Indiana Pacers guard Reggie Miller before his last game ever in Toronto. Miller, a five-time all-star, announced his retirement earlier this year after a 17-year career, all of which were spent in Indiana (Only Karl Malone and John Stockton have spent more time with one team). Known as a three-point specialist and clutch scorer, Miller had his prime years in the 1990's when he engaged in historical battles against Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls as well as Patrick Ewing's New York Knicks. His efforts culminated in a NBA Final appearance in 2000 when Shaquille O?Neal and the Los Angeles Lakers defeated him in six games. It represents his lone trip to the championship series.</div> Article</div> Classy move.
How would the Raptors honor Reggie? Honestly, there isn't anything that would stand out in fans of Miller and the Raptors' memories during both the team and the player's existence. What kind of history do we have with Miller? What does he even have to do with our team? I understand that this will be a great show of respect, but is Miller's retirement revelant to the Toronto Raptors?
^I was about to say the exact same thing. There is nothing that ties the Raptors to Reggie Miller in any sense possible. I know game respects game but this is kinda going over the top.
We did the exact same thing to The Admiral in his last season. It's nothing really, just appreciation of what the player meant to the league. I didn't feel it was necessary, but don't mind it either.
I guess we just like to give players props, if we were New York or something, it would make sense, but the Raptors and Reggie have no history
The raptors should, not even should. they must honor vince carter not reggie. they should even retire his jersey. Why? cuz i know all you raptors fan wont like to hear about vince, But actually you just love the guy. what did reggie do for the raptors to be honored for? Nothing. And if the raptor honor reggie well then they should do more then just honoring vince carter cuz he had done so much for the franchise than reggie ever did. He played for them, took him to playoff twice, and had done so much for the city. You guys can hate him for not giving 100% of his best to the raptors, But you guys were the reason from Gm, media, and etc. I dont need to explain. anyway, i would be surprised and disappointed if toronto didnt honor vince or make something special for his return on friday. and please dont respond to this, if you just wanna front and hate on vince, im being realistic Vince is Amazing

This topic has been beaten to death, and this thread is about Reggie. Vince is amazing, and we should a statue of him infront of the ACC like Jordan has one in the United Centre.
The whole statue thing is a bit overboard, he didn't bring it over the top which deserves a statue...or wait, was that sarcasm? And Raptors retireing Vince's jersey? mMaybe when Vince retires from the league, but I highly doubt it will happen anytime son, if it happens at all As for Reggie, I think we shoudl sure honour him, maybe a little presentation, but nothing big. A little bit of respect is good. I see nothing wrong--although I don't see any significant purpose-- with honouring Reggie. Hwoever if its over the top, then maybe hte Raptors need some reconsideration.
i say we make a new stadium called vc stadium....AHHH!! that would be crazy/dumb... we should make like 50 statues in front of thge stadium and then the cups at the arena would be molded in to VC shapes!!!!lol j/p
I hope we honour players like Robert Archibald, Michael Bradley, and Menge Bateer before we honour Wince Carter. I would be frustrated if the Raptors honoured Carter within this century. Well, at least give it 10 years before it is considered, I think that Vince needs to apologize to Toronto and its fans, before the words honour, Vince Carter, and Toronto are put in the same sentence.
