If you take away the 3 pnt. line, defenses will pack into the paint and you will see NOTHING but 15 ft. jump shots ALL THE TIME. Nobody will be able to get close to the basket with the ball and nobody will try any long shots. Imagine playing against a coath like Jeff Van Gundy when there is no 3 point line. You can forget about the paint, because even JVG would be out there standing on it.
The 3 ball gives hope to teams that are behind and some huge ass leads at the same time. Plus when everyone is hitting back to back area code J's it's as exciting as dunks. Very exciting. These good perimeter shooters make it look so easy. In fact I think there should be a 4 point line because of how easy it is for some people to nail 3's. It'd be Atoine Walker's favorite shot.
If they do get rid of the 3 pointer, wat will happen to guys like Peja, Q richardson and Redd if they cant do what theyre famous for? Wat bout guys like Reggie Miller who were pure shooters and have used the 3 point line to their advantage. If u are down by 20 points, wat would you do???? take some 2 pointers?????? NO WAY bring on the quicks and 3 point shooters and hope someone is HOT! I remember a Bulls-Spurs game back in the day between David Robinson and Jordan. and the bulls were down by 20 points. A guy, sorry cant remember who, came off the bench, barely got a run, hit 4, 3pointers and motivated his team to at least get back in to the game, they still lost by a couple point but if the 3 pointer wasnt there, the game wouldnt have gone down to the wire and been as exciting.

removing the 3pt line would be ridiculous, basketball would turn into a game for centers and forwards, the guards would be much less productive.
would have saved the nets season, they would have driven more to the basket at times the 3 point line adds offense, but it takes it way too, the greatest benefit is allowing the score to alter in a quicker manner if a team is hot
