If you use a second rounder on him, that's nothing. It's non-guaranteed money and a small sized contract and good trade bait for any teams interested in him as filler. Here's also some other positives: - At 7'9 he can dunk the ball standing flat footed and probably bending his knees a bit. - At 7'9 he can really clog up the lane - At 7'9 he can see over everybody and set up cutters to the hoop - At 7'9 he can probably sell tickets just by sitting on the bench (he would be the tallest NBA player ever, right?) - At 7'9, TNT would hype up any event between his team and the Houston Rockets... where he'll most likely ride the pine or the IR and not face Yao at all. - At 7'9 he'd be useful for teams that don't play defense anyway. Just have him wait on the other end of the floor while the other four play defense. - At 7'9 it would just be plain funny to see the guy just ruin it for some poor schmuck-season ticket holder who has court side seats directly behind him on the home bench.
