1. Sign Coach Phil Jackson 2. Sign G Michael Redd (10 Million Per) 3. Sign C Samuel Dalembert or C Stromile Swift (6-8 Million Per) 4. Trade G Eric Snow and 2nd Round Pick for G Derek Fisher 5. Trade F Drew Gooden, C Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and a Future 1st Round Pick for F Elton Brand and F Chris Wilcox The New Roster BECOMES.... PG: Derek Fisher (Jeff McInnis) SG: Michael Redd (Jiri Welsch) SF: Lebron James (Luke Jackson) PF: Elton Brand (Chris Wilcox) C: Stromile Swift or Samuel Dalembert (Anderson Varejao) Reserves: Lucious Harris, Robert Traylor, & Ira Newble Elton Brand running things downlow with his 20/10 and 2.5 BPG, Lebron dropping 30/8/8, and Michael Redd giving you 18 Points Per Game on pure jump shooting, this team would be complete!
Good luck with getting that. That's all I have to say. Phil Jackson won't come here. I believe he's stated before that his top two choices would be the Knicks and Lakers. I can see you getting Mike Redd. However, I don't see him only giving you 18 ppg. If you're gonna diminish his role that much, he's not going to stay. He's going to want to be somewhere where he can get paid and still keep up around his 20-24 ppg. Also, LeBron won't be dropping 30/8/8 either. Especially if they acquire Mike Redd and especially if they were to somehow get Brand. But, seeing as how I don't see the Clippers trading off Brand and Wilcox for an aging center with bad knees and Drew Gooden, you won't have to worry about that. But, nonetheless, 30/8/8 is not going to happen if Mike Redd comes around. He'll be wanting touches, LeBron will want his, Z will want his, and Gooden will want his.
Yeah this roster is about as likely as me getting with Jennifer Anniston (Jen Im available and will make you forget about that Brad guy). First off why would G State trade Derek Fisher and a pick for Snow? Fisher is signed on through 2010 and why would we want Fisher anyways. Why is McGinnis on yoru roster when he has all but cleaned out his locker in the Gund. Welsch? I think I played more minutes per game than he did for us this year. God help us if this is our team next year.
...Why would the Clips want Z? They have someone much cheaper and younger, who goes by the name Chris Kaman. Also if the Clips wanted to trade away their PF's (Brand, Wilcox) they wouldn't trade away both in the same deal, and they would get much more value. If they did trade one, they would probably replace them via draft, like drafting Sean May, instead of trading for Drew Gooden, who's due for a new contract soon.
