<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> INDIANAPOLIS -- Vince Carter is about as popular in Toronto these days as termites.

But guess what? The man once affectionately known as Air Canada, doesn't much care.

Carter's new team, the New Jersey Nets, are in the middle of a playoff race and Carter is concerned little that his reception tomorrow night at the Air Canada Centre -- his first appearance in Toronto since his trade to the swamp on Dec. 17 -- likely will be a nasty one.

    Please, don't do anything stupid.

    Be clever, not crass.

This is a public plea to Raptors fans planning to voice their displeasure with Vince Carter tomorrow night.

If you want to boo Carter, go ahead. Rattle the rafters. Scream at him, if you wish. Call him a wimp, a fraud, a traitor, if that's the way you feel.

But never lose sight of the fact this is just sports. Don't throw anything. Don't use profane language. Let's not make fools of ourselves when we know the eyes of the basketball world are going to be upon us. </div> Source

Any day now the magic will end, reality will set in, and Vince Carter will go back to being Vince Carter again.

    In other words, a quitter.

If you quit once -- and he did more than that -- he will quit again.

If you take the easy way out -- and when didn't he do that? -- he will do that again.

If you abdicate responsibility and blame others for your own misfortune, he will be irresponsible again.

This has the potential to be the biggest/most hyped game I have ever attended (Including the playoffs).

But, as the article states, please do not do anything stupid if you're going to the game. We have the right to boo and show our displeasure, but let's not get carried away.

Nice move by Thorn not to arrive in Toronto early. Because you know the media will be down Vince's throat since the minute he steps off the jet. Their plane is schedueled to land at Pearson less than 24 hours before tipoff.

The Raps are holding Vince a welcome back party tonight. They've probably already landed here.

Anyways, this is definitely the most overhyped game I've ever heard of. Not only is every single NBA fanpage covered with this game (http://www.raptors.com - their "This Just In" box is filled with VC articles and nothing else), but it's also all over the American media, and that's saying something.
