<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Clarence Holloway, running full-court drills at Jeffersontown High School yesterday, seemed a million miles away from the National Basketball Association. And not just because his game has not yet fully developed. The 7-foot, 275-pound center from Chicago's Harlan High School who has signed with the University of Louisville said yesterday that he's not thinking about the NBA, despite what Cardinals coach Rick Pitino has heard and said. "All I'm thinking about is coming to play at Louisville," Holloway said while in town preparing for the adidas Derby Festival Basketball Classic to be held at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Freedom Hall. "I want to play for Rick Pitino. I think it will be good for me to play in that system and develop under him." Asked if he's being approached by people who say he has immediate NBA potential, or if he has done any thinking in the past about making the jump to the NBA, Holloway offered a less-confident, "I'm not going to comment on that."</div> Source
If Pitino is correct, I will be VERY frusterated. This will be another tough recruiting season... Last season was the start of it all. First, New York pointguard, Sebastian Telfair declares for the NBA after committing to Louisville. Then, Donta Smith, makes a horrible decision by delcaring for the draft. And now, this season, I'm hearing Amir Johnson might not be coming now because of academics or something. If this is true, I will be pissed. I was so excited about him coming here. And if Holloway declares, my bubble will burst. On the other hand, if Holloway and Amir both come to Louisville, our front court will be amazing, built on tons of big men. We'll have Padgett at center, Palacios at PF, and then you would have Amir off of the bench at PF, and you would have Holloway backing up at center, and we would also have Brian Johnson here, a player who missed all last season with an injury, and could be huge this season. I think if all of the prospects come here, and stay for a year or two, we could have the best big men in the nation, heck, it might even happen this year.
