Blazers: Conflict Boils Over Between Miles & Pritchard

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The tension between Darius Miles and Kevin Pritchard broke out into the open Thursday night at the Rose Garden. And Ruben Patterson said he is done with the Trail Blazers for the rest of this season and has requested to be traded before next season. Miles, apparently miffed at being replaced during a 102-90 loss to the Dallas Mavericks, didn't bother to return to the bench after being taken out with 4:03 left in the first half. Instead, Miles threw his headband into the stands and ran directly to the tunnel and into the locker room.

Assistant coach Tim Grgurich chased after him, and Miles later returned to the bench. Miles said he needed to use the restroom.

Miles started the fourth quarter and scored on a fast-break layup with 8:34 remaining. But during the ensuing timeout, Miles again stood away from the team. Then Miles pulled himself out of the game, walked to the locker room again with 7:28 remaining and did not return. According to a Blazers spokesperson, Miles' sore neck was bothering him again.

"I hurt and came out of the game," Miles said. </div>

More non-sense in Blazer land. I really feel bad for the fans to have to put up with this crap every year.

[IMG] i can't believe the crap that continues to go down in portland. this team is a case study for what is wrong with the nba, has been for about 3 or 4 years now. it's really sad. when you think about the days of walton, porter, the glory days, it's sad for the fans, cuz they can't do much to change the fact that their team is made up of a bunch of losers, they just have to suffer through all the b.s the team gets itself into. it's too bad, cuz portland used to be a proud organization. i feel for the blazer fans here... They essentially fired Cheeks for low class people like Miles. Oh well, Cheeks didn't deserve to be subjected to that team.

When was the last time the Blazers had a brightspot? When they drafted Telfair?

What a bummer for the Portland franchise, their in a hole and they can`t get out of it...

    Portland's woes

A Hole? It's more like a Ditch! [IMG]

Miles has a huge attitude problem. IMO, the Blazers should trade him to get a few decent players in return. Miles has caused nothing but trouble this year. He has become more of a distracion than a basketball player.

I just hope that Portland can get someone that would play well with Telfair so he can develop.

[IMG] no kidding man. i'm glad mo cheeks got out of there, fired or otherwise, cuz he's far too good a person to be stuck on that sinking ship. i don't care if he's a great coach, he's pretty averager really, but he's a good guy, and it seems that those are in short supply sometimes in the nba. that team is catering to the f-ups that inhabit it, that tie up all the teams money, and it just plain sucks for the fans and everyone involved with the team. i wish they could void contracts like darius miles'. he's getting paid all that guaranteed $$$ for like the next 5 years, just cuz he had a good second half with em last year, and somehow that gives him liscense to be a jerk about it for the whole time. what a drama queen. well, actually, that fits, cuz i think he's had more movie roles than good seasons in the nba...
