    Keys to Victory

Move the ball, stop shooting so many damn 3's, get to the foul line, and play some defense for once.

    Notes:

Warriors hope to end their 3 game slide (Losses to Nuggets, Spurs, Minny) tonight.

Game will be on FSN Plus: http://www.fsnbayarea.com/plus/

Hope there's no baseball game this time or community access channel

No but if I find it I'll post the link or email it if you got gmail.

You'll probably see it on tonight's local news or possibly espn highlights. Very impressive for a big man to dunk like that. He was up in the air and was extended like a Connie Hawkins dunk.

Jrich is really struggling from both the foul line and from the field, but he sure put a huge dunk over Joel Pryzbilla. That was challenging dunk especially since it was one handed and he wound up before putting it over the guy. Pryzbilla averages like 3 or 4 blocks a game it seems so he had do it fast and with force. Very hard to do against a 7'2 center with reach.

Dunleavy is on his way to getting a quiet triple double. Sweet.

Wow. Sure would have been open to signing him over Foyle. Would have had two young guys patroling the hoop

Yup, I wanted Joel Pryzbilla as a Warrior too. He's got so much potential and he plays physical. I threw him out there as a list of replacements for Dampier and Foyle and it was between him or Chris Mihm for a cheap center that could be either a starter or a backup.

Biedrins is looking sweeeet so he will probably be the future starter. All those physical skills and coordination wrapped up with his desire to knock out his weaknesses. He's very bright too and he's tough. Just being there makes the defense so much better. He's long and has hops and is always actively patrolling the paint and long enough and agile enough to rebound despite being weaker than the competition. Plus he had a sick dunk all over Przbyilla just now. Sweeeeet. He even wound up and brought the ball behind his head before it went down two handed on top of his defender.

Biedrens really looked quick on his feet tonight, but at this point,Foyle is at least as good on D. In a year that may change as Andy gains strength and experiance. It was an odd game, the W's looked good, the Blazers mostly looked poor, but for awhile stayed in it. Really good night for Dunleavy, best in a while. the Amazing Z did a nice impression of Kevin McHale doing a Dr J impression.

    Here's the game recap:

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">
    [IMG] <font face="Arial"><font size="2">Mike Montgomery</font></font><font size="2">
"This was a good win, Andris (Biedrins) had a good night, he almost had a double-double. Zarko (Chabarkapa) had a good game off the bench for us. Mike Dunleavy played real well, he had 20 points and eight assists and was able to make some three?s. He understands the game and works hard. When we shoot he really tries to concentrate and knock down each shot." </font><font size="2">On rebounding:
"Biedrins was really good keeping the ball alive, we got the stretch late where we couldn?t rebound the ball, so we put Adonal back in and he enjoyed a couple nice rebounds, its kind of a team rebounding situation for us, we have to get everyone working on boards." </font>

<font size="2">On play during the game:
"In a normal situation I thought Andris could have been in double figures easily. We had 32 assists which was good, but we got one stretch where we didn?t move the ball too well. We got a turn to shoot it and the ball wasn?t going in and that allowed Portland to get back a little bit because they ran out on us. By and large, 32 assists is pretty good." </font>

    [IMG] <font face="Arial"><font size="2">Mike Dunleavy</font></font><font size="2">
"We?re trying to finish off these last few games strong at home and we didn?t do so well last week but hopefully we?ll end on a positive note." </font>
    [IMG] <font face="Arial"><font size="2">Baron Davis</font></font><font size="2">
    On coming to the team:
"When I first got here and I was playing 20 minutes coming off the bench and not playing up to what I was capable of playing. These guys believed in me when I first came, believed that I could get better, and helped me to get better. They deserve all the credit. Coaching staff, trainers; they deserve all the credit." </font>
    [IMG] <font face="Arial"><font size="2">Adonal Foyle</font></font><font size="2">
On playing the Lakers on Monday:
"Right now we?re not even sure Kobe is going to be playing. But the whole thing is that any team that?s on the floor, we?re going to play well. I?ve been here when my team has been decimated by injuries and everybody took pleasure in whooping us so I am definitely going to play anybody that is in that place and enjoy doing it." </font> <font size="2">"It is really fun when you play and compete in the way we have been in the past few months. We?ve had a few games that got away but for the most part guys showed up to compete and that?s fun cause we have each other?s backs. It?s a lot of fun." </font>

    [IMG] <font face="Arial"><font size="2">Andris Biedrins</font></font><font size="2">
    The world according to Andris:
"Playing with Baron is great; he is always looking for me down low. I just want to make sure I finish strong. On defense I try to block every shot that is attempted, that?s probably why I?m always in foul trouble. During the summer I plan on going back home (Latvia) for about three weeks then come back and work hard. I will be playing in our summer league and if there?s time I will probably go back home for another two or three weeks before the start of the next season. " </font>
