The Charlotte Bobcats has won the season series against 1st Draft Pick rivals, the Atlanta Hawks. The two wins against the Hawks, all but guarantees the Bobcats second from bottom in the overall standings, showing that the Expansion team is not the worst team in the league. Atlanta who has stuggled all season, failed to capitalize, as they lost two straight against Charlotte.

Emeka Okafor, leading candidate for the Rookie Of The Year award, succesfully continued his Double Double streak through these match ups against the Hawks, by claiming 16 - 12 and 17 - 11, with Points first, and Rebounds last.

The future definitely looks bright for the Bobcats. Saying that they'll be a playoff team next year is not a stretch anymore. However, one thing that I don't understand is why they keep putting an effort out there. New Orleans is obviously tanking, losing six straight, and if the Bobcats win one more game then the Hornets will have the 2nd worst record in the NBA and better draft position. Either way, the Bobcats are a lock for at least a #6 pick at the very worst.

Yeah, and with an addition of maybe Chris Paul, this team could be looking good for the future with Okafor down low, Wallace on the wing, and Brezec(sp) at forward. Brevin Knight has really surprised this season, but I think it's time they get a young stud in there, and Paul can be that guy.

And you can't forget our other 1st Round Pick, Clevelands, who knows ... we might be able to get something from that.

This is what tells me they are going to be a successful team. Not going all out isn't an option for these guys. None of them want to lose.

The streak is over, the Bobcats lost to the Wizards by 2. Hard fought game though.

Yeah, even towards the end of the season they give it their all, even if they're not going to make the playoffs, if we can get Paul and Warrick, I don't see why they won't make a playoff run next year, they already proved that they're not going to be the absolute worst team in the NBA, they'll be alot better next season.

I just gotta say congrats to Charlotte on having a pretty good season for an expansion team. Next year they could be a playoff contender, but it all depends all what they play and look like next year.
