CARON!!! he proved it & we need know it caron butler's salary is a lil' less than 2 million, yet he's playing better than lamar at the small forward spot..just like last nite, he poured in 36 pts 6 asts and 6 rebs and most of all ONLY 2 to's. Caron butler is a better fit for kobe and the lakers because he is so consistent without lamar hogging the ball ,driving for no reason and getting into stupid foul trouble. Y'all been sayin hes not consistent but now he's proven himself for about the last 15-20 games. I duno about y'all, but i'm definitely hyped about kobe and caron along with couple trades or free agents can do!!! i mean thats the only thing us lakers fans can do rite?

The more I see Caron play, the more I agree that he should be staying and we should use Lamar as trade bait. Im really not sure what we could get for Lamar, but a big man who can post, box out, and rebound would be nice.
No need to insult Odom... Caron Butler is averaging 24.4 PPG | 7.8 RPG | 3.0 RPG | 2.25 SPG | 7.7 FTA | 1.4 TPG | 47.0% FG | 40.0% 3PT in April. Those are definately some beast numbers, and if he can develop into a 20 PPG alongside Kobe, which is the important thing, they can be a force to reckon with.

I admit that I doubted Caron but when Kobe got injured, I got to see his game more. I like his attitute, you can see he is hungry.
Not insulting Odom, the boy has all the talent in the world....but in my eyes, somethings holding him back and its not LA, its not the teamates and its not kobe....its LAMAR. In my opinion, NOONE can match up with Lamar when hes playing lamar bball...not timmy, not KG, not amar'e ....noone. Only Lamar can stop lamar, and ive seen em play live this year....hes a momentum player when he shouldnt be. He plays defeated and i hate it. "My heart is still in Miami" ....SMH
Caron Butler and Kobe will be great together for years to come. As a Clipper fan i knew Odom would be good for nothing as he was the same in a clippers uniform. I feel he was best in Miami and for his sake i wish he would've stayed there.
There's no doubt Kobe and Caron are meshing. It makes it easier to trade Odom, knowing the team has a viable 2nd scorer out there with Kobe. Caron is also young, and has a cheap contract still, making him even more valuable. Lamar Odom is one of the Lakers best pieces to trade along with Devean George's expiring contract, and possibly Divac as well. Although I'd like Divac back if he can get in shape during the summer and stay healthy. A big IF, but he showed some glimpses of what he can still do, and he gives the Lakers size upfront. So the question becomes, what can we get for Odom?
Another question would be what team wants him... there were a few key trades that involve odom we missed out on before the trade deadline in Febuary. 1.Baron Davis Trade. 2.Carlos Boozer Trade. 3.Sacramento Trade. IMO either one of those could have benefitted us...
Yeah it?s a pity that LA missed to get Baron Davis he ust amazing and the main reason why GS is raising now. I do not know what u guys think about it but i would love to see Artest in LA.
Caron and Kobe will be great next year and y'all know it!! Agreed, only thing to make things better is if we trade Odom for some niice decent PF's like boozer.
