There is some chance that Marvin Williams, Chris Paul, Deron Williams one of then will fall to 7 ??? This three players are "The Draft" this year in 2005, Green, Felton and the others don't have quality like this three.
my god...everyone is allowed to have thier own thoughts towards who we should draft, but i flat out disagree with some of the ideas. I would hate Babcock if he did any of the following. The raps dont need May, can get better than Wright, shouldnt grab Green because of he's not close to NBA ready and has the bad attitude that has burned TO to many times. The raps need a point guard with thier first pick plain and simple. Williams or Felton. If neither of them are around they need to grab Jack with the 16th, then trade down to early teens to grab Granger or use the 8th on Taft(worried bout attitude, but he's the top Center) to help out our dumb 5 spot. I think thats the best case scenerio, and i pray that Babcock listens rather than be dumb and draft highschoolers or european big men. If Babcock fvcks this up i'm going to become a Hornet fan

Deron Williams is unlikely to slip down that low, because the Utah Jazz apparently are the team most likely to take him. However, there is a possibility that he can fall down to 7th. It'll be more clear after the workouts and lottery.
If I were the Raptors, I'd take Raymond Felton with their first pick (I think there's a very good chance he'll still be there) and trade Alston. With their second 1st rounder, I think they should take a look at a guy like Johan Petro or Channing Frye, to add depth at center and or push Araujo, who I still think will be a solid player, but in the end grab a guy like Antoine Wright, Hakim Warrick or Danny Granger. With any of those 3, they'd be getting an athletic guy who can score from day 1, taking pressure off of Rose and Mo Pete. I think that this team is on the cusp, and a good draft would put them into the playoffs next year. Call me crazy, but I would like to see them trade up using both of their 1st rounders or one of the ones they got from NJ in the coming years to get a guy like Deron Williams or Martell Webster/Gerald Green. That way, they'd be giving Chris Bosh a legit #2, a running mate he can continue to grow up with. If they got a stud on the perimeter through this draft, they might have the best young inside/out tandem in the league. Just a thought...
This is just a thought but i would consider trading denver's 1st round pick in the 06 draft( acquired in the VC trade) for a top 3 seconde round pick (2005) and a 2nd rounder in (2006) presumably from a lower level team. The reason for doing this is because there are alot of underclassman and alot of depth in this draft due the fear of an imposed age limit and perhaps potential lockout if the cba is not renewed. Also barring injury, i expect denver to finish at least top 8 in the league next year leaving us with a late 1st rd pick. Anyway just an idea i wanted to toss out there.

With this year's high amount of high schoolers declaring in fear of a age minimum, the Raptors could wind up with someone like Andray Blatche, Monta Ellis and Louis Williams if they're lucky with a pick in the 30's. These guys might not be what we need right now, but they're young and could develop into something with time. If we don't go for a high schooler with that pick, we could still end up with a college player who is NBA-ready and could make an immediate impact, maybe someone like Ronny Turiaf, Francisco Garcia, or Wayne Simien. Could we maybe do this proposed deal with New Orleans or Atlanta?
If it comes down to making a decsion between Felton and Green, I'm quite sure Babcock is going to go with the higher ceiling player, which is Green.
yeah man, thas true.... i'd like Felton but Gerald green has that "im going to be better than anybody else" kinda swager
that swagger is also incorporated with a bad attitude problem...he resembles juvenile who used to be from cash money...
Im optimistic on the draft. All i hope is that we get two good and talented players with a lot of potential. not just potential but a lot of potential. hoffa is potential, Bosh - a lot of potential. i just hope Babs doesn't take a guy like pittsnoggle from WVU. i am a fan of WVU but it'd be like picking aruajo all over again. we basically need a 1 and 2 spot guys. and maybe in the 2nd round we can pick a big guy. here is a link to the early draft candidates. http://www.nba.com/news/earlyentry_050519.html

^maybe he meant that its at 8 on tuesday, i just hope that we get a good pick. If green is still available we should pick him at 7 and jarret jack at 16 cause felton will probably be gone by then, and if he's not we should take felton with our 1st and pick someone like danny granger or rashad mccants with our second.
