This is a huge draft for the Raps and Bab and yet he's not working out any reasonable top 10 picks other than MAYBE Felton, and i doubt that will happen. He's also on working out 1 or maybe 2 that could be considered 16 picks...and both of them have horrible horrible attitudes. I dont care if he plans on seeing them at Chicago pre-draft camp....this is a huge huge draft...work out all the players 1on1 and get a real inside view of what makes them tick! Webster, Granger, Wright!!!! THESE ARE THE PLAYERS YOU WORK OUT BABCOCK!!!

When you refer to "both of them" who are you referring to? Because the last time I checked, Jarrett Jack has an excellent attitude and leadership.

Forgot about Jack being a potential 16 or under pick, my bad. Of the players working out the only ones that i think could be under 16 but above 7 are Taft, Mr.Clean (Charlie), Mccants and Jack. 3 of those have attitude and/or work ethic problems. I guess Ellis could fall into there, but who knows, mocks have him going anywhere from 16 to 35.

I listened to all of Babcocks fan 590 things on the raps page and i have more respect for him than i did. He seems like a fairly personable guy as well as knowledgable. I'm going to give him benefit of the doubt from now on, i just hope he doesnt waste any picks.

Yea, he even said that he isn't, in any way, against choosing a PG or a C, even if that will indirectly give an insight that Babcock screwed up in picking Rafael Araujo and the signing of Alston. Granted, Hoffa isn't a complete write-off and could still turn out to be a serviceable big man. I still remember him hitting that trey when nobody expected him to. Babs knows this draft is important for the future of this franchise, as well as the future of his job security, so he will make the right choice.

If its true that the Grizz are looking to trade their first rounder (#19) for 2 second rounders, assuming they mean from this years draft, would you consider doing it?

    Think about this:

    7th- Danny Granger/Wright/Felton
16th&19th - Ellis, Frye, Villanueva, Mccants, Ukic, Graham, Webster

or the possibility of packaging 2 of em for the Blazers pick or one and a future 2nd for the Lakers 10.

I know i wouldnt mind the possibility of having a lineup of

    Frye Frye Frye
    Bosh Bosh Bosh
    Granger Wright Webster
    Rose Mccants Rose
    Ukic Alston Felton

Realistically i dont see Felton going to us at 7 and i cant see Jack slipping to 16 so we either move up to get Felton or back a bit and get another pick and Jack. I think we need Frye though, no two ways around it our 5 spot is a joke. For the 16th pick this guy could be the ticket.

If the Grizz will take our 38th (the Magic holds the right to swap with their 41st pick) and 58th pick, then yea I'd do it in a heartbeat. I don't think Webster will fall below 10th though, so realistically we won't be able to snatch him with either of the 16th/19th pick.

    Hey guys

Well i just read Chuck Swirsky's weekly column on raptors.com and he has an interview with Rob Babcock. Rob is very high on Joey Graham and Antoine Wright. It also mentions that Gerald Green is coming in for a work out after the Chicago camp.

If you also listen to the audio version Rob Babcock talks about Blanche and Martel Webster as well. He also talked about Ike Diogu and Bynum.

    Go check it out http://www.nba.com/raptors/news/swirsky_060805.html

So don't worry everybody i think Babcock has got it covered. But i'm also still saying a prayer for him that he makes the right decision.

What do you mean by a comparison to Danny Granger. Like how they are alike or head to head matchup..

Wright is more of an athlete than Granger and has more upside. Although he can easily get to the basket, he sometimes relies on his jumpshot. (remind you of anyone who used to play here?) Wright is a potential all star and I would rather have him over Granger.

Granger is bigger and more proven than Wright. The thing about him is that he has had a somewhat injury plagued career in college.

There you go... in a nutshell.

Yea. That part of his scouting report does remind me of Vince Carter after all his injuries. However, I think with a coach like Sam Mitchell, Wright can be taught to use his athleticism and drive more often.

    A pre-injury Carter that is...

I think if the coaching staff does a good job on Wright that he will blossom... he just needs to learn when to do what.

That is... if we pick him.

The pre-injury Carter used to go to the basket though, he sounds more like Carter in what was it 02-03. He did start going to the basket in NJ again, but he doesn't seek contact like he used to.

Graham has been moving up though, as long as we get good players I'll be happy.

Exactly what I said. Vince Carter after all his injuries stopped going to the hole strong. Mr.Wade I think you meant post-injury Carter [IMG]

Who would Sam Mitchell prefer? Granger or Wright? Anyone know about their work ethic and coachability?

As far as I know, they both are very coachable and have excellent work ethics. Either one of them would be good for Mitchell, but Wright seems like he has more potential than Granger.

Just listened to the Fan yesterday and Babcock said that he is very high on Danny Granger and also said that they are interested in Jason Williams, the one from Duke who got into a motorcycle accident.

So i'm going to predict that Rob is going to pick either Felton, Granger, or Antoine Wright with the 7th Pick.
