From Chicago: <font color="Navy">Danny Granger:</font> - He had a workout vs Hackim Warrick - Hit 12 NBA Three's in a row at one point and impressed with his outside shot - Showed a nice mid-range bank shot - Questions about lateral quickness due to constantly getting beat off the dribble by Warrick in one on one drills - Offensively in one on one, settled too much for pull up jumpshots and wasn't making them as he was when open - Good in the post, Seems better when others get him the ball, and not as good at creating for himself - Has a nice turnaround jumpshot
Yup, I read that article from Draftcity.com too. It seems like he'll have trouble guarding the smaller, quicker off-guards in the NBA.
Anyone know how Antoine Wright is doing in Chicago, or if he is participating in the pre-draft camp at all. ( I looked athe list and didn't find his name, or any projected first rounders)
He's just participating in the physicals / measurements session, like most high first round prospects.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Dabigboshdog:</div><div class="quote_post">why would they do that.? i wanna know if we can get memphis' first rounder for our 2 seconds</div> Because their agents feel that their clients' weaknesses will be exposed. Weaknesses = Lower draft position = Less money for the player / agent. I don't think we'll even have to give up our second round picks for the Memphis' 19th pick. We can 'buy' the pick for $3 million plus other considerations.

Though i wouldnt mind getting Nate Robinson and Daniel Ewing in round 2. BTW- i was a once very solid Granger for 7th fan, but i've changed my tune abit. I still love Granger's game, but his injuries scare me, especially after everything we went through with Vince's injury bug. I'm sold on Wright for 7th now, and Frye at 16th. That would be PERFECT. (though if Granger is A-ok and he checks out fine by team doctors, and they feel he's not a high risk i say go for him over Wright. But till then....WRIGHT AND FRYE FOR RAPS.)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">No... not Frye.</div> It does sound like a Babcock pick
^In all honesty, I think Frye will be gone by the 16th pick anyways. I have heard reports that New York is pretty interested in him with the 8th pick. If Hakim Warrick, Jarrett Jack, or Villanueva is available by our 16th I would grab them immediately.
Appparently Granger has done so well in the Chicago camp and workouts that he's a lock for the top 10. Most likely then, he won't slip passed the Warriors. All I want with the #3 pick is Granger, Webster or Wright. They are all swingmen who can come in and make immediate impacts with great potential. If Jack doesn't goto the Lakers at 10, then he'll likely be there at 16. Depending on the talent available, I would consider Jack with the 16th pick. If Jack is gone at 16, I would look to select Graham or Warrick only if we don't select Granger with our 7th pick because he's a SF. I'm not a huge fan of Villanueva. First Pick (7th overall): Granger, Webster, Wright Second Pick (16th overall): Jack, Graham, Warrick, Roko-Leni Ukic Any combination of two of these players drafted by the Raptors (as long as they don't play the same position and are pick at the pick I list them at) will make me very satisfied.
02civic, Memphis has made it official that they are 'selling' their pick though. I did say 'other considerations' and that includes expiring contracts and role players.
i would love to get green..but i think he'll go earlier...so im saying at number 7 we get felton (if possible) and 16 seal McCant they both would be really good for the raps
I don't think Felton will be available at the 7th pick... Either Charlotte or Utah will take him because they are both in need of point guards. I say Wright or Granger with the 7th... And the best available player with the 16th pick... We neeed Memphis's pick... take it boys.
^ I'd really hate that. We won't get Felton at 7th because we have 2 teams picking before us that both need a PG, so I don't see it happening. If it does though, I wouldn't want McCants. I'd like a bigger SG/SF, or maybe even a big man, and their are suitable players at that pick.
I'd be ok with Granger/Wright at 7, though i'm still ok on Frye. He's been getting some rave reviews and apparently has bulked up big time. We need a center and this kid has the potential to be exactly what we need. A big body that can hit the 16footer while also block some shots....its not like he's an Araujo, he's a bit more certain than that. That being said, what about the potential to trade our 7th with the Lakers if Felton or Fran is still on the board. We could get their 10th maybe and a 2nd rounder. The 10th we could use to select Jack which i think is a good move for Bosh's future here. Think about it, we NEED Bosh to stay on after his rookie contract is done, and what better way than to surround him with people that he already knows and likes. We need stability for Bosh and this team has NONE right now. Jack would give Bosh a base from which he can work up from.
