If Kobe is the best player in NBA why aren't Lakers wining? He is a great individual player, but he is not a great team player. And yes i will say that Tracy is better, because Houston is playing better than last season.He is not scoring as much points as he did last two seasons, but he uses his teamets.Kobe is great individual player,but he needs to change his attitude towards his teamets if he wants to take win more rings.

Kobe can't win without a great big man to control the paint. Hardly any great shooting guards can win without a big man. James, T-Mac, Q-Rich are good examples. J-Rich, Kobe, Jamal Crawford are all good examples of great players that don't have a big man to help. So if Kobe were the best player in the game, he should be able to take the Lakers by themselves to the playoffs. I'm telling you, Kobe is the a great player, but is only one of the top five players in the game with a good center. Besides Kobe's behavior issues make teammates and coaches leave. He is never the best player in the game. PERIOD
Iverson has been is on rout to break some NBA records this year. the first to end the year in the top five in scoring assists and steals. noone has done that! Right now AI is just too hot!
There are many player who are better, and more exciting to watch than GM Kobe. LBJ, AI, T-Mac are a few that come to mind.

Iverson's team has struggled many times as well. What about LeBron James? How do you feel about them?

Those guys aren't even close to being franchise players yet alone getting compared to the best swingmen in the league. J-Rich is getting better, but also shouldn't be put on that level yet. Anyways, no Kobe is not the best player in the NBA. Their are a few players who are better, Duncan, Shaq, KG, and Dirk could be argued as being a better player, so could Tmac. A lot of players have been compared to MJ, Hill, Finley, Vince, Kobe, Penny etc etc, I don't get the significance in that making him the best in the league. He's the closest to MJ in terms of his game, but is still far away. In terms of recent production, McGrady has been the closest to MJ with his 32-7-5 season on 45% and 35% shooting. Also many claim Iverson is actually the best guard since MJ, not Kobe. Iverson's game is nowhere neat MJ's, they play very different ways, Iverson is a low%, high turnover scoring machine who can pass. MJ was a lot more efficient thant that as he was a high%, good turnover scoring machine who could also pass, rebound, and play shutdown defense.

Even though it's just one year, I think playing without Shaquille O'Neal has exposed Kobe Bryant. Don't get me wrong, I would still rank him(Kobe) in the Top 5, but if anything I say him and Allen Iverson are flirting around the same level.
This season has been the season of truth for Kobe Bryant. I realize how good of a player and person he is, but without the most dominant player on your side things are a lot tougher aren't they. Kobe will adjust..eventually.
Kobe Tracy has the more natural talent, but overall, Kobe is better. A.I. is great, and maybe if you make the case, pound for pound, he is better. Kobe is a better defender than both of them. And do not say A.I. steals ranking, that does not mean that he is a great defender, but he is a great ball hawker. Lebron is a great talent, and is more versatile than Kobe was at his age, but like T-MAC and A.I., he is not as determined as Kobe is to be the best, which is a deciding factor, like Michael Jordan was with Magic, Bird, and the other great players in the league. Lebron's main upside is that he has more time than Kobe, and that he is bigger and stronger than Kobe off the bat than Kobe was at his age. This is a learning year for Kobe. Sure he doesn't have Shaq, but now he can evaluate himself, the team, and his place in the game overall, and adjust to the changes he needs to make to reach his goal of becoming the best in the game. He has the talent and potential to become the best player in the game, but his personality holds him back. His desire to be the best works against him by him dominating the ball so much. He needs to be more aggressive offensively Take wiser shots(Not so many deep shots, penetrate within 15 feet and in shots off the drive and in the post) Trust in his teammates more Improve Post Up Game(Jump Hooks, Drop Steps, Spin Moves, etc.) Improve Moving without the Ball game

What this year did is really bring down that margin that many Kobe fans and other people had between him, Tmac, AI, and the rest of the perimeter players in the league. Many were putting him on another level, but this year just showed his still just on their level. Even Vince has had a better overall season than Kobe this season...

even i cant say that kobe is best player in nba (i am long time kobe and lakers fan) I think there are some few players in nba who are better than kobe (Iverson,Nash and LJ , but i hope that Kobe is in top again in next year ) Best player in nba is Iverson !
