<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">RALEIGH, N.C. -- UNC Junior Raymond Felton will likely decide to enter the NBA draft and not return to school for his senior year, according to a source. Felton said Tuesday at a UNC awards ceremony that he had made a decision about his senior year, but would not say more than that. According to WRAL-TV sportscaster Jeff Gravley, who spoke to a well-placed source, Felton has decided to forgo his senior year and go pro. Felton, who was awarded co-player-of-the-year honors with Sean May, would be the second UNC player to go pro early. Rashad McCants announced Wednesday that he would be leaving before his senior year. </div> source
As of now it looks like UNC is going to lose their big three to the NBA the one that I think will be drafted the highest is Felton. Felton will be a great pick to any team that needs a point guard. He can get in the open floor, run the break, and dish it off for an easy lay-up. Two possible teams in the lottery that can take a chance on him are the Lakers (currently at 10), the Raptors (currently at 9), and the Jazz (currently at 4). Probably a top ten pick for Felton, but defiantly lottery.
I can't bring myself to beleive this until I hear him say it. It seems that he'd be in one hell of a position to stay at UNC with May and Marvin, plus he's got Paul and Williams ahead of him in this year's draft class. If he went back, improved his jumper and D even more, he'd prolly be a top 3 pick next year
Well as everyone knows i travel like a mother and i of course was once again in Chapel Hill the weekend of the Final Four. Upon the teams return, I got a good 5 minutes in with Coach the day of the celebration. Ran into him in a little place on Franklin St. He knows and would advise Raymond, he's a lottery lock. You dont pass on that. He wouldnt advise him too either. Nor would he refute the fact that May is higher now than he ever will be. The biggest question mark in all honestty is Marvin. Will be down to the day. I think, aswell as from what I've heard, he wants to be back despite his status and who is coming back. He would love to lead this young team UNC has next year. he's not concerned really about his stock, and although Top 5 now, could easily be number 1 next year. I hope he does because he will mesh well with Hansburough and Green and Frasor. But with UNC I'm the eternal optimist.
