1. Deuce McAllister - Recovering from a bad ankle injury in 2004, that limited him to only 9 tds and only 1,074 yds, Deuce should be back in contention for the best back in the NFL for 2005. With M. Karney becoming a threat for linebackers and J. Mayberry and J. Brown adding much needed help to the OL i predict Deuce to be back in the Pro Bowl come January. 2. Priest Holmes - Nagging little injuries kept this beast down last year, but it didn?t effect his numbers to much. With only 8 games played he was on pace to beat his previous TD record from 2003. Expect P. Holmes to be back in full effect in 2005, can you say Aloha???? 3. Jamal Lewis - This jail bird isn?t done yet with the NFL. He may have had some minor trouble from the past, but not that it?s all in the past, expect him to be rushing for the top of the charts in all fields. I know he has some energy to get out and what better way to get out some inner turmoil than to crack skulls with a LB or two. Another Pro Bowl bound back. 4. Deshaun Foster - Between him and S. Davis I would think he would win the starting job come August. D. Foster is going to be an outstanding back in this league if that last season injury doesn?t come back to haunt him. With the OL of the Panthers he should be up their with the rest of the gang. Pro Bowl bound. 5. Brian Westbrook - With T.O. and his shananagans going on, i would sure hope the Eagles consider running Westbrook a lot more then last year. He?s a back that can kill you on the ground and through the air. Expect him to be up there in total yards.
Two backs I'll be watching this year are Chris Brown and Julius Jones. It'll be interesting to see if they turn out to be "one year wonders" or not. Brown, especially, seems Fragile. It'll be interesting, too, to see who emerges in Denver. Tatum Bell?

Tatum Bell should do well, then again, who wouldn't do well behind Denver's line.
Allow me to play to the hometown crowd. If Bennett stays healthy, he could easily put up 1K+ in yards. His problem in the past has been injuries.

I doubt it. He will have a bad season. If TO is there(HUGE DISTRACTION) it help his numbers, plus he is playing for contract. Most likely his last season was his best ever by a lot.
I totally forgot about LaMont Jordan! After all of these years of hearing about how "Curtis Martin is done" and Jordan deserves his shot, I'll be interested to see how he does.
Lamont Jordan is a biggy, whenever he came in he got yardage. Hes a big power back. Plus he has Randy Moss to strech the field. And while the safetys cover Moss, Jordan will get yardage. i think Julius Jones also will have a great year Deshawn Foster is a good one too, hes always been productive McAllister better do better i got him in most of my leagues last year and he didnt do too well... hes got tremendous potential
I Think Julius Jones Rushes for 1200+ if healthy, Amahn Green Should bounce back for atleast one more great year and should pick up 1300+ aslong as they rest him, After this year though I can see him sadly sliding further and further into mediocrity (is that a word? ) as the game life of an NFL running back isn't to long.
In the case of Westbrook, expect to see another 3-headed monster from the Eagles this year, only without Staley. According to some local reporters, the Eagles are running a formation with Buckhalter, Moats, and Westbrook. L.J. Smith and Ritchie are also involved, and it's supposed to be a non-hurry up but a no-huddle offensive formation. The reason is because they need almost every second they can get to get the play off. I think about every player goes in motion, and depending on how the defense reacts, some even go in motion twice. Now, I'm still not buying this, because it just seems WAY too creative for me. I'd like to see if run myself before making any judgements. All I know is it'll confuse the hell out of any LB in the opposition, and you won't see Westbrook posting 1500 yards. If they stay healthy, the backfield will be a huge key to the offense. I think another back to watch out for is Domanick Davis. The Texans are on the rise, and if they give him the ball enough he'll post some good rushing numbers.
Horrible nominies. most improved. How about come back runningback of the year award. Because of the nominies I am going to take Westbrooke I think he will go for over 1800 yards total. Especially if TO don't play.
whichever back that comes out of carolina is gonna be the comeback running back of the year. Both only played like one or two games. Davis and Foster can both rush for 1200 yards I think Westbrook is already on top of his game, but i agree with all the others, all but westbrook missed huge time last year
I like the either Panther back this year but I like Priest Holmes a lot as well. I think he has a great year.
Priest is gonna dominate next year if he stays healthy, that guy is the best at finding the endzone. But he still an elite RB, Foster has so much to prove because he has been injured so much. Foster is looking to get respect. Priest has Pro Bowl expected of him. Foster is expected to at least stay heathly for a season
Foster has been injury prone. So thats why I think Foster could take most improved RB canidate and Priest comeback runningback of the year. Right now I think Foster is starting. You can verify that and if he stays healthy I think he can become a solid player.
Priest is gonna put up monster number next year. Running backs should study how he gets into the endzone. He had 26 touchdowns in 2003. He always finds ways to get to the endzone.
