I think the lakers should go for a PG or PF in this years draft. I have been reading mock drafts from different sites and listening to sports radio and I think the lakers should pick up pg raymond felton from UNC if he is available at number 10. Another player that they should get if he declares is PF Shelden Williams from Duke. I hear hes a defensive monster and would give the lakers the defensive tenacity that they need badly. If raymond felton is not there the only other pg i would consider is jarrett jack from georgia tech.

IN addition I think the lakers need to get defensive players in the free agency also. I hear that ruben patterson wants out in portland so maybe the lakers can pick him up.

One rumor I heard today from www.hoopshype.com which gave an article from Ohio is that Zydrunas Illgaukaus said he has a slim chance that he will return to the Cavaliers next season. I think the lakers should go after him as our center. I think chris mihm is at best a backup center and would be a great fit for us. I would probably trade odom and another sf (jumaine jones, or devean george) for him.

    Windhorst on the Cavaliers

    Even Jordan's Bulls struggled

Chicago's first winning season was in his fourth. James, Cavs still young

    By Brian Windhorst

WASHINGTON - In an on-demand world with constant media coverage, it's understandable that rumors surfaced over the last week that LeBron James would want to be traded from the fading Cavaliers this summer.

    Dribbles

? Zydrunas Ilgauskas and his family and friends are telling people he thinks there's only a small chance he'll be back with the Cavaliers next season. He told the New York Daily News that he's probably going to buy a home in New York this summer, perhaps as he prepares to sell his Cleveland home.

Since there are only a few teams with enough available cap space to sign Ilgauskas for his market value -- and he's probably not interested in the likes of the Hawks, Clippers or Bobcats at this stage of his career -- there's a high probability the Cavaliers might end up working a sign-and-trade with their All-Star center if they don't keep him.

Several NBA observers suggest the Lakers or the Timberwolves could be willing trade partners for big Z. The Lamar Odom-Kobe Bryant experiment did not go well this season, and the Lakers might be willing to deal Odom and the four years and $52 million left on his deal. The extremely versatile Odom excelled in the Eastern Conference with the Miami Heat last season.

    What do you guys think?

I like Shelden Williams a lot, but he has not declared yet. The Lakers could use his defense and toughness.

I would pass on Ilgauskas. He's too, slow and always breaks down at the end of a season. He's improved on a defense, but still doesn't intimidate anyone.

we already have lamar caron vujacic george and that excuse for a guard atkins
we dont need another rookie because the lakers are HORRIBLE at expanding young talent
well just screw up whoever we draft, he'll be like a third string all next year and we will waste a draft pick

Actually...I dont really know yet, I mean I really went through almost every drtaft prosepcts profile on draft.net...I was bored lol..and it really looks like a VERY weak draft..I think with one of our early second round picks we should get that 7'9 sun ming ming tho..hes 7'9!
