Sorry, this is all i got for tonight's game. Im workin on a playoff Special The Sacramento Kings will play at Utah this Monday night. The Kings are tied with Houston for the fifth place in the West. Also, they are a game ahead of seventh-place Denver. Sacramento will be without Peja Stojakovic, who strained his left groin on Friday against the Lakers. He will mis the rest of the regular season, says Coach Rick Adelman, in order to let the groin heal in time of the postseason. Saturday's 116-98 loss to Phoenix, snapped the Kings' four-game winning streak. Eddie House led Sacramento with 17 points, Mike Bibby had 16, and Darius Songala had 11. Sacramento needs to win one of its next two to top 50 victories for the fifth consecutive season. The Kings will most likely have a better shot of getting that win against Utah. The Jazz, hurt throughout the season by injuries to Carlos Boozer, Raja Bell and Andrei Kirilenko, have won just five of their last 23 games. They lost 100-82 to Portland on Sunday night. Mehmet Okur had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Jazz. Matt Harpring had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Prediction: Kings will come in strong, capture the 50th win of the year easily. Kings 104 Jazz 89
No it doesn't. If the kings lose to the suns and nuggets beat the blazers they will have identical records. However kings have beaten the nuggets 2 out of 3 times this season: Nov 9 Denver W 101 - 89 Jan 11 Denver W 109 - 100 Mar 26 @ Denver L 99 - 113 Also check out espn - West matchups set
Is it me or did the Kings intentionally tank this game. Come on, it's the Jazz and the the buckets the Kings gave up on defense was questionable. If anything, I say they tanked this game. What do you guys think?
Kings don't want to face Dallas in the playoffs. I would guess that's because they're already quite tired of the Mavs after playing them in the playoffs for four (or is it three?) straight seasons. They probably also know that they won't match up well against Dallas, so they try to go with Seattle, the weakest team in the top four in the West. Karma might come back and bite you though, so Kings, be careful.
3 straight seasons (W in 5 in 2002) (L in 7 in 2003) (W in 5 in 2004) if we get miller, jackson, and peja back, we fittin to make some NOISE in may!
