Yeah,I love it,scrape that purple and gold off the pavement, and gas up the steamroller for next season! Shaq got out at the right time.
Just got back from the game, and I must say it was the best game I ever saw in my own eyes (but then, I didn't go to the Arena that much). Where did Zarko go? I don't think I saw him on the bench. The game was rather tight, and the air in arena was moderate with occassional boo when Kobe touched the ball. Then, the arena was buzzing and people started to yell 'Kobe sucks', when Kobe tried to pass to himself by throwing the ball to himself. If I have to pick a turning point, that was it. Then, Warriors made like 6 straight 3 pts and contained Lakers scoreless first 4 mins in 4th quarter. And, before you realized it, it was close to 40 pts difference. I wonder if Dunleavy has any close friend in locker room or it's just his nature to not to talk much. Because, I didn't see him making a chit chat with anybody. Funny how Skita couldn't put his eyes off from Warriors girl during the time out in 2nd quarter...

Murphy kept lighting them up from 3 point land because they were so confused on the Baron/Biedrins pick and roll that it drew in Murphy's defender.
Quoting Kwan1031:

Funny how Skita couldn't put his eyes off from Warriors girl during the time out in 2nd quarter...
Are you serious? The Warrior girls are kind of like our offseason moves. Mediocre. And how about Pietrus? What a freakin' stud. The guy is going to be a true inside/outside threat in one-on-one isolation situations. Him and Derek Fisher actually look good when he has the ball and you have Biedrins constantly rolling toward the hoop. Okay, I'm going to be freakin' mean now. Check out http://www.nba.com/warriors/dance/warrior_girls_03_04.html and guess which Warrior girl looks like Bobby Kim in one of his characters from Mad TV.
Was anybody suprised Troy Murphy got six assists in addition to his regular scoring and rebounding? Also here's that article about the Lakers falling and the Warriors rising. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...SPG3BCAJ821.DTL

I feel bad that I said that now. After all, who cares what they look like, they're supposed to be dancers, not the Mavs/Heat or Lakers girls. Judging by the Heat dancers, there must be a lot of plastic surgeons in the south of Florida, if you get what I mean.
Game Recap:
Quote:

Mike Montgomery On the Warriors? effort: "We frustrated Kobe (Bryant) a little bit, and that really helps. Especially with Caron Butler out, he felt like he had to go and score the ball. And he did - he was looking to shoot a lot. Early on, Jumaine Jones and Chucky Atkins shot some threes. They both had three threes (in the first half), but we patched that up. Their shooting percentage was up in the high forties (in the first half), and it ended up 37 (percent), so obviously they shot pretty poorly in the second half. And we got rolling. Guys were moving the ball. We had 35 assists on just 89 shots, which is pretty good. Guys were sharing. Troy (Murphy) had six assists, (Derek Fisher) five and of course Baron (Davis) had 13. Baron was pretty good at creating opportunities. Troy got those three threes in the corner and that broke it open." On guarding Kobe Bryant: "We kept our two best athletes (on him). But he doesn?t look like the Kobe of old. He?s not just rising up and making shots. We tried to get help, we didn?t do a great job every time, but we tried to stay physical with him and make him a priority. We didn?t have an extra guy on him very much, but we did try to make him finish in traffic? But we didn?t really do anything in particular." On what a game like this means for next season: "We?re certainly playing better. I think you can see that there are some guys that can make some big plays. But at this stage of the season it?s really hard to get much from a game like this. The teams that aren?t going to the playoffs, by and large, are struggling. Guys are having a hard time staying motivated. We?ve been fortunate in that our guys have stayed pretty motivated and enjoyed playing? I don?t know how much of an indicator something like this is, to be honest with you. I think it gives you a sense of what you might be able to do, if you put your mind to it, certainly offensively. But when you get into next year, you?re playing to be one of those teams that gets into the playoffs." Derek Fisher On the donation: "It?s a program we designed for deserving youths. It?s going to be a great program and we will work through the university. The student athletes are going to be mentors for some kids at a middle school close by the campus. It?s a win-win situation for everyone. I didn?t just want to donate money. I wanted to make sure the money was going to go somewhere that was positive and I?m just so proud." On the large winning margin: "It?s a weird feeling, especially against this team. We were up by forty one time and it shows that when you?re confident and you?re playing with success you can just go out there and great things will happen." Mickael Pietrus On his game-high points: "I tried to break free and tried to do the right thing for the team and for me the most important thing is that we had a great win tonight and everybody looks forward to being successful next year too. We?re trying to keep everybody healthy and try to do the right thing this summer and come back very very strong." On Wednesday?s game: "We?re going to try to visit strong and try to make the fans proud of us. We just have to leave on a good note and everyone will be happy."
This Wednesday's game is our last and I hope it will end in a dramatic win like last year against the Dallas Mavericks. I think it's against Utah, so it probably won't be as dramatic but there definitely will be some hard play so they can carry some momentum into the offseason.
I can understand the fans booing Kobe, but I think the timing is off. The guy's wife is in the hospital and she might have lost the baby.
As someone who has watched way too many Laker wins over the W's, last night was oh so sweet!!!! Baron and JRich clearly outclassed Kobe and Atkins.

Further, abortion is the only way to prevent serious harm, in nearly all cases. So, it's a tough moral choice, and I'm sure she had to abort otherwise she would have suffered severe consequences. It's definitely something that's very stressful to a couple and I hope that all is well with the Bryants.
Well Kobe knows what business he is in. The fans are booing him because of his ability on the court. Its all in the game. I know what you are saying though Shape, its a rough time for him.
Whatever my feelings towards Kobe the player/husband, I do not wish any ill will towards his wife and their attempt to have children. I wish them the best.
As a Kings fan towards the Los Angeles Lakers, all that I can say about last night was... BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!! Go W's!!!! I can't wait till next year!!!
The way Pietrus outplayed Kobe was a very positive sign. The game said a lot about team chemistry, the value of playing with a sense of purpose. Today, looking over box scores I saw that in the 76er-Bucks game, the starting sf's,Mason and Korver played a combined 60 min-got 1 rebound. Yesterday we had 3 guys total about 30 boards. We also had a very good team FG%. In fact the W's were so "on" Shika got a shotblock!
