Maybe I should take back what I said

I......*exhales*....that was, the Rockets Mavericks game, that was some of the most horrendous officiating I've seen since the Kings Lakers series when the Kings got a$$ raped by the referees. Rockets got majorly screwed. Maverick fans can't even try to cover it up, that was absolute horsecrap.

The best was at the end of the game when Finley was allowed to come from OOB steal the Ball from Barry then call a foul on Barry.

Great stuff that really great stuff

The officiating in the Denver-San Antonio was quite awful as well. There was a point in the game when there were for FT attempts than FG attempts. The game was stop and go all night long and the calls were inconsistent all night.

The NBA must fire all the refs, hire a few computer nerds and come up with some type of laser/motion sensor computer system that does the officiating from now on. Or they could just hire a whole new set of refs, the current ones seem way too old these days. That might explain all their bouts of blindness and Alzheimer moments. Something has to be done.

A missed call like this is inexcusable. That crew should take a seat for the off-season. Also, the Spurs game. How is it that we can call it a "Man's Game" when there are so many baby-sitters on the court?

Are you a fan of the "closely called" game or when they "let the guys play"?
    I go for the latter.

The out of bounds steal by Finley at the end was pathetic. It was a game deciding play and they let it go.

I've seen lots of others. I remember in another Houston vs Dallas game, Dirk was guarding Yao I beleive, and Yao was backing into the paint. In the replay you see Dirk, out of nowhere, throw his head back, and grab his eyebrow as if he got elbowed. The replay showed some award winning acting.

I saw the same thing in the Spurs game. I think it was Duncans 2nd or 3rd foul. He had just gotten back in, was going straight up for a rebound, and Martin(I think) just ran up infront of him, jumped up, and thew himself out of bounds to look like he got pushed. Of course, the refs called a foul on Duncan.

Then last night when Manu was guarding Carmelo, they are fighting for position, Melo pushes himoutward, and they call it on Manu.

I dunno, this shitty officiating is reminding me of the Lakers and Kings west. conf. series a couple years ago...

The officiating in this years playoffs is a flat out joke in my opinion. Ref's are blowing calls all the time, and then they make up for it by making another ridiculous call on the other end of the floor. I'm pretty sick of people getting extra steps all the time just because they are a star. In the Pistons/76ers series it seems like all AI has to do to get a whistle is just drive the lane and flick some lame shot up that isn't going to go in anyway. AI also switches his pivot foot constantly in the lane, and takes 3-4 steps sometimes with no whistle. In Game 2 (I think) of the same series, a Ref at the half court line called a reach-in foul UNDER the basket with 3 players back's turned to him. There is physically no way he could of possibly seen what happened. In the Rockets Game 3 (once again I think) at the end of the game the ref anticipated the call on Padgett and blew the whistle with no contact. How about when Miachel Finley swats the ball out of Mike James hands with BOTH FEET out of bounds completely. Whats that about? If you ask me the officiating is biased completely, it seems like at the end of the game the team that is trailing gets all the calls to get them back into the game. Thats ridiculous, this is supposed to be competition? Also, I thought in the Playoffs generally the ref's are supposed to let you play more physical? Game 4 of the Spurs/Nuggets series was a joke, seems like every sequence you got a whistle. The game went until like 1:45am EST...That should say something about the fouls. And JVG is right, they are victimizing Yao, he gets more BS called on him than anyone..

    Just my opinion though... [IMG]

that call pissed me off so bad, its and its not like its just a regular season game for a team thats already been eliminated from the playoffs, its a game that can affect the entire playoffs and all the teams. and its not like he was stepping right outside the end line he was RIGHT IN THERE, stupid refs..

Anyone else think that layup by Ray Allen to put the Sonics up 4 with 15 seconds left last night was a travel? It looked to me like he put his hand under the ball and then took 3 steps.

Yeah Yao does get a bunch of BS calls and Van Gundy had every right to complain. Didn't Mark Cuban tell the officials to keep an eye on Yao the night before? Oh and i dont know if you've ever seen Andris Biedrins play but he gets the most BS calls I've ever seen. This season has had the worst officiating I have ever seen.
