I was around this site, many others, and I have seen and heard many things on television or radio. It seems as if everyone is forgetting the defending NBA champion Pistons and are quickly jumping on Miami, San Antonio or even Phoenix! I just want to remind everyone that the Pistons are the champions until you dethrone them. Never underestimate the heart of a champion and definitely do not sleep on the Pistons!

That's what the Pistons thrive off of. Hamilton recently said that in an interview. But no matter how much the Pistons would win the championship they well always get overlook mainly becuase they have no superstar. No notice every team that is being picked over them has a superstar type player. Whether it's Shaq and Wade, or Amare and Nash or simply just Tim Duncan, the Pistons doesn't have any great individual player at those players magnitude thus that is why they get overlooked and always will get overlooked.

But then again, in the past whether it was the Lakers or Spurs championship team, they always mainted the same tenacity the following season after they're championship season. They always played at high level and most importantly stayed consistent. The Pistons on the other hand has been fooling around with the on and off swith, which gives analyst the right to question the fact on whether they can be champions again. But like true champions they turn it on when they need to and so they have, they won 10 straight and the way they look they're just as poised as other championship contenders for the NBA gold.

This year Playoff is going to be the best. While this is said every year, besides the Pistons and the Heat every team in the East is capable of beating each other. This time around it's no so predictable which makes things even more fun. And the same could be said for the West. The Suns are fully capable of beating a team like the Mavericks, just as the Mavericks are as beating them and then we have sleeper teams like the Kings and Rockets. This is going to be exciting.

Even though the Pistons are the still the same powerfull team they were last year, people are begining to sleep on them because they've lost the fire power they had last year that won them a championship. For instance Coach Brown has lost his desire to coach at the pro level, and players like Chauncey Billups aren't having the same type success as last year. Never the less the Pistons are still the team to beat, Rip has stepped up his game this season and the Pistons still have it in them. But like said before me Detroit has been inconsistent, they have had some bad times this season, that you usually don't see elite teams go through.

You don't often see teams be considered inconsistant and up and down and still end up winning 55 games. The Pistons are still going to be the favourite to come out the east come playoff time. The Heat are the number 1 seed but the Pistons are the team they need to knock off and the team they need to prove they can beat. The Heat are in the same situation the Pacers were in last year, best record in the conference, homecourt advantage and full of hope. Only question Is If they can bottle It, something the Pacers couldn't quite seem to do. obviously that and the Pistons are an amazing basketball team. That also had alot to do with Indiana losing. The x-factor for the Pistons coming out of the east again will be two guys.

Tayshaun Prince and Antonio Mcdyess. If both of these guys keep giving great production like theyhave done in the 2nd half of the season ( mainly Prince) then they will be next to impossible to beat. That and Prince contending Wade like he did to Kobe.

For me It will come down to the two Jones's. Forget Wade and Shaq, Damon and Eddie are the two guys who will to me decide the Pistons finals hopes.

The playoffs will be fun to watch no doubt about It. People are indeed sleeping on the Pistons which is playing right into Larry Brown's hands.

I think game 1 said a lot. Them being down 16, coming back and winning by double digits shows the heart of a champion.

Yes, it seem'z like eveyone is overlooking the Piston'z. i agree that everyone is jumping on such team'z as the Heat, and Sun'z. Don't get me wrong, those team'z are really good team'z but i think people don't give Detroit a chance. Sometime'z people think that the #1 seed'z are going 2 win the Championship but sometime'z it'z like the #2 or #3 seed (Detroit last season). But it'z playoff'z time and the Piston'z are bout 2 turn it up and show eveyone why they are the Defending Champ'z!!!!!!!!!!!!
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Detroit B-a-s-k-e-t-b-a-l-l !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
