I was reading the articles about marbury taking the balme for the knicks L's. And i was also reading the article about wally moving to NY. ANd it made me think. would it be smart for the wolves to go after marbury? what do you guys think?

Iknow marbury was trouble when he played there but the guy seems to have matured over this past season. Look at the success the wizards have had. Those guys were terrible together in GS (jamisun, glibert, huges) and now they are a cohesive unit.

Marbury and KG are in the same boat(losing seasons). They both work their asses off and I think it would be a good idea for the wolves to go after him. I think that they are both mature enough to put the past behind them and win. This game is a buisness and u dont have to be bousom buddies to win.
Could they put their past behind them forgive one another and just hoop?

I Know,............ how? I dont know, im no GM but wolves have alot of players they could do without(Olo, wally, spree, sam, ect.) I hate to see two of my favorites down and out.

Isiah has a love fest to get Wally from the TWolves.

    Wally + Cassell + Minny's 1st Round Pick maybe?

Not a bad idea. We do need a pointguard, with our pointguard situation being pretty bad right now with Hudson, Cassell, and Carter. I wouldn't mind this, but you know that Hudson will be complaining. Hudson will know that he will not get a good amout of minutes, so there may be a possibility that he would want out of here as well. I wouldn't mind it. Marbury is one of the top pointguards in the league, but the loss of Wally will make our bench production pretty thin.

EDIT: The more I think about it, the more I think of the negatives. So I'm going to go with no on this now.

Stephon is not coming here and I do not want to see him here.

Plus the Knicks are not going to get rid of him. Isiah Thomas wants to build around him.

We can get a good PG in the draft.

Marbury is not the answer for the PG problem. They dont need a guy that can score 20 a night. I say go after guys like Earl Watson from the Grizz or Jason Hart from the Bobcats. Guys along those lines. Antonio Daniels from Seattle is another that comes to mind. Not them exactly but a guy with that kind of skill level.

I would love Daniels, but I think Seattle is going to keep him. They like him coming off the bench, and I think they'll match whoever offers. I believe he is a restricted free agent.

About Marbury, no. I don't think we would want him back here, and I don't think the Knicks would let him go.

You said it right there in your post.....ISIAH THOMAS!! Isiah is known to do stupid things and no trade is out of the realm of possibility with him.

JWohl: Isiah will trade everyone, but not Stephon at least for one more year. Isiah and Steph has a great relationship and Isiah wants him to be successful. In a way, Steph is Isiah's guinea pig the way O'Neal was for Isiah with the Pacers and Damon Stoudamire was for Isiah with the Raptors. Steph is Isiah's guy so I doubt it will happen this off-season. Plus Isiah's boss, Jim Dolan has the power to veto the trade and Dolan loves Marbury.

His complaints about coming off the bench leads me to think that he wouldn't come off of there anyway.

On Marbury, no. Not just because I don't like him, but because I don't see what makes him one of the top points in the league. I just don't see it. The only thing that I see that he can do consistently is drive and complain.

No way, first I don't think the knicks will give up starbury. Second off, I don't see how t-wolves need another star, it wouldn't be anything like Malone-Stockton, marbury loves to score and be the main guy on the team, but KG is way better than marbury. I don't see the chemistry, or the results if a trade like that goes down.

Looks like NY has no problem with sending away the precious marbury. And a deal for wally is a possability. Thats funny how sometimes a career can go full circle. Oakley started with chicago ended in chicago. Walker started in Boston and ended up in boston. Now there is a total possability the Marbury will become a Wolfe before the 05-06 season begins. ^ Marbury has a long way to go before his career is over.
Anyways, I wouldn't wanna see Marbury in a Wolves jersey, plus the Knicks wouldn't let him go. Even though it's the GM that would do trades that make absolutely no sense (stacking your team with MORE undersized forwards at the All-Star break), I don't see him biting on a trade like this.

Furthermore, I'm not sure if Marbury and KG would really make a dangerous combo or two superstars whose ego will clash. Though KG doesn't need the ball on every possession, he is the soul, heart, leader of that team and that's the kind of recognition that Marbury wants as well so it's hard to say. Well, until it happpens, I can't really say anything but if it does, it will be a very interesting 2005-06 season.
