Anybody Comets fans? Where do you think Tina Thompson, Sheryl Swoopes and Michelle Snow would take the team this year? I don't pay much attention to the WNBA, so I'd like to know. Are the Comets still a powehouse like they were back in the early years, or has that title been taken by teams like LA and New York?
They'll compete this year, like always, but they've definitely fallen from their glory days...in fact, ive even heard rumors how they might even consider trading swoopes...they'll be alright and should still make playoffs but i dunno if id consider them championship contenders...
i dont know all i know was that when cynthia cooper was here she took teh team to 4 titles and after she had left it wasnt the samea nymore i think that LA and other teams have taken it after that but im not sure i watched a couple of games before but dont pay much attention to it like i do with the NBA.
Comets won their first game of the season today, a 78-70 victory over the San Antonio Silver Starzz...Swoopes had 26 I believe, but we won without Tina, who did not play for some reason...but I'm liking the depth that we have...Dominique Canty, Adrienne Goodson, Janeth Arcain, Snow, the rookie Lytle...all are more than capable of contributing and being a reliable supporting cast for Tina and Sheryl....
