After hearing from all of the so called expert analysts from ESPN and TNT, NBA.com offers insight into what some NBA Legends think about this years Playoffs. These players know a thing or two about what it takes to win it all. I'm just glad Screamin A. Smith did NOT pick Miami to win it all, because he's Always Wrong! (FYI: he picked the Pistons to repeat this year) He has great insight into the biz of the NBA but I would not rely on him for your bets. Here is the Panel of Legends and their choices for 2005 World Champs: K. Abdul-Jabbar = HEAT Dave Cowens = PISTONS Clyde Drexler = HEAT Julius Erving = PISTONS Walt Frazier = SPURS George Gervin = N/A Moses Malone = N/A Earl Monroe = HEAT Robert Parish = HEAT Check the link for explanations for these picks. LINK http://www.nba.com/playoffs2005/legends_050422.html As you might have guessed I agree with most of these guys that the HEAT will win it all.
If the Suns get past the spurs, we will destroy the Heat. Shaq, even slimmed down, can not run with the suns. Wade can score 50 points if he wants, it won't matter. As for the spurs, the suns struggle against them but right now we're healthy and TD is questionable for being 100% and they haven't even finished with denver yet. It will be interesting to watch it unfold.
Just like when the Suns "destroyed" Miami a couple of weeks ago in Miami huh? Phoenix will lose in a seven game series against the Heat and the Spurs.
Suns also destroyed the Heat in Phoenix before that, they would also have homecourt If they met in the finals. With all that said I don't expect either to make the finals. Although I certainly wouldn't be surprised If they did.
