Tonight on ESPN they will have a show breaking down the Lakers, Kobe, Shaq, Phil etc. Hopefully this sheds some light on what REALLY happened, but then again Kobe is the #1 person ESPN loves to bash. So their segment title might be mis-leading.
One could question how much they realy know. I doubt anybody knows exactly what happened exept Kobe, Shaq and Phil. Im guessing ESPN will jump to conclusions most of the way...
Yeah that title sounds like a set up to bash Kobe. I dont even understand why they are talking about that, shouldnt we be seeing more coverage of the playoffs(interviews and the like)? Seems like Phil is over it, Kobe is over it, and Shaq is over it. Its Over!

They might as well do a 5 Reasons not to blame KG, and 5 Reasons not to blame LeBron while there at it. I'm sure you wouldn't mind seeing more Nocioni, Duhon, & Gordon highlights and post game interviews. Also watching that Chandler block a few more times would be more exciting than listening to more Laker drama. As a Laker fan we've all been hammered by the problems, now it's time for the Ownership to start fixing these problems.
#5 - Jerry West leaving the Lakers #4 - The signings of Karl Malone & Gary Payton failed #3 - Shaq having to be the man, Shaq's insecurities #2 - Phil Jackson lost control of the team, gave ultimatum keep him or keep Kobe #1 - Jerry Buss, as the owner he made the final decision to make Kobe the franchise player
okay? none of that stuff is news. they will be talking about that for another 5 years. This whole thing is almost a year old.

I didn't get to see the game or highlights and it wasn't on the ESPN Motion highlights either.
I love it....very honest and finally some actual facts being brought up by "BSPN". Its weird hearing this come from them. Usually its the other way around.
number one I agree with shape that when it came down to it, it was Dr. Buss's choice and he chose Kobe over Shaq hence meaning that whatever Kobe wanted didn't matter it wasnt HIS choice it was Dr. Buss's choice.
"I don't care if Shaq was Kobe's best friend, For the money Shaq wanted, there was no way we were bringing him back." said one Lakers insider. ^^^ Ive had that as an away message for a long time. Anyone seen it before?
