<div class="quote_poster">Quoting tradebark:</div><div class="quote_post">And in the context of that Around the Horn episode; the topic was Davis' comments on a series after the second quarter of the first game. It's more than valid to bring up his past transgression when you're discussing this guy's character [IMG]</div>Actually, no it's not. Where is the connection between the two? Paige only said it because that's the only thing he knows about Ricky. I bet if it was a question about his hometown hero, Carmelo Anthony, he wouldn't have brought up Melo's backpack and DVD incidents.

    Great posts by all.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MrJ:</div><div class="quote_post">Davis trying to get that triple double I thought was hilarious because I never saw anything like it, but what?s the problem? The Cavaliers won that game by 27 points and him trying to get (I believe his first) triple double of his career in garbage minutes by getting one mere rebound means he?s padding his stats? I just don?t understand that?</div>First of all, he shot at his own hoop. so maybe that clears it up.

Him doing this was classless and selfish, and it's why he is criticized so heavily. He was showing up the opponants, and most cavs fans hated him for doing this.

Ricky has to proive his good boy scout image for longer than 1 1/2 years before people stop bringing this up. It's the way it goes, you have to prove you are reformed, and in this case, it's gonna take a little longer.

    How was it selfish?

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Ricky has to proive his good boy scout image for longer than 1 1/2 years before people stop bringing this up. It's the way it goes, you have to prove you are reformed, and in this case, it's gonna take a little longer.</div>
But it went off topic. The original discussion was based on the media eavesdropping on Ricky trying to pump up the Celtics on the bench. Whether or not Ricky tried to get a triple double or not, it was wrong to bring up past experiences irrelevant to the topic to justify what type of person he is.

You just have a vendetta against him. Get over it.
