Miller scored 28 points but just two in the fourth quarter, when the Pacers tightened the defensive screws and rallied for an 82-79 victory over the Boston Celtics that evened their Eastern Conference series at one game each. In another display of the grit they have shown all season, the sixth-seeded Pacers bounced back from an ugly loss in Game One and stole home-court advantage from the third-seeded Celtics, who scored just 10 points in the fourth quarter. The Celtics bench wasn't as effective as it was in Game 1, and the Pacers' defense improved. Reggie Miller led the way for the Pacers with 28 points. The series is now 1-1.
jo i?m glad the pacers won this one. I thought Artest would play in the playoffs but what i see is that i was wrong. Hope pacers can win the next ?game too and hope O?neal to have a great game
As long as Reggie's around, you can never count the Pacers out of a playoff series. What a vintage performance last night.
What I'm disturbed about is that there are no Pacers posters, posting anymore. No game threads and hardly any action in a forum where the team is still playing. I don't mean any specific insult to anyone, but it seems kind of a poor showing by Pacers fans here. I was hoping we'd have some nice(respectful and intelligent) cross-traffic between here and the Celtics forum during the series, but it seems I'll remain disappointed. Too bad, considering this will likely be one of the most interesting 1st round series. If there's any Pacers fans left out there, please step up and represent!
