After losing the coin flip to the Warriors, the Lakers are slotted to draft in the 10th position. There is still a 1.4 percent chance to move up in the draft, but the Lakers have been without luck all season. All is not lost with the #10 pick though. Looking through the history of the draft, there have been some value picks at #10. The Lakers have drafted 10th before, and landed Eddie Jones in 1994. The Lakers also have a current #10 pick starring for them, Caron Butler. 1993 - Lindsey Hunter 1994 - Eddie Jones 1995 - Kurt Thomas 1996 - Erick Dampier 1997 - Danny Fortson 1998 - Paul Pierce 1999 - Jason Terry 2000 - Keyon Dooling 2001 - Joe Johnson 2002 - Caron Butler 2003 - Jarvis Hayes 2004 - Luke Jackson Eight out of those twelve players are in the playoffs this year. Most of those players have become career role players, with the exception of Paul Pierce, who is the lone All-Star from the group. The Lakers will be after a PG or PF with the 10th pick in the draft at this point. Best PG Available 1. Chris Paul 2. Deron Williams 3. Raymond Felton 4. Mardy Collins 5. Jarrett Jack Best PF Availble 1. Martynas Andriuskevicius 2. Chris Taft 3. Franz Vazquez 4. Sean May 5. Tiago Splitter I'm hoping the Lakers avoid a project like Andri or Splitter, and go with a player who's ready to start right away. Eddie Jones helped get the Lakers franchise back on track, can the Lakers find another impact player in this year's draft?
