Alright guys, only two more games. I think the Rockets can really make some noise this year, especially if everyone continues to play how they are. Let's have McGrady sit a few more minutes a game though ok?
Well, if we do beat Dallas or possibly even sweep them, I kinda fancy our chances going up against any team, even make it to the conference finals or something. But we gotta keep our feet on the ground and do our best every game because I dont think Dallas are gonna let us through that easily. Leads have been blown but i do see potential in this team so hopefully we'll go far.
Egyptian, you make a good point. McGrady may need to rest some more in order for the Rockets to keep up the intesity they have brought in our 1st 2 playoff games.
If the Rockets can get an early 10+pt lead in the game they can rest him more. But the thing is that's not how the series has been played. The games have been pretty close throughout the 48minutes so you can't give him those extended minutes of rest that you could if you can get an early lead. That's how it is when you play good teams. Every game counts in the playoffs and more is demanded from the starters in the post season than in the regular season.
well we could just sweep them and that would give mcgrady more rest that he needs, but if we coud finish off the series as fast as we could then he will have more rest then the other teams that have been playing up to 6 or 7 games.
The team is getting 2 full days off since their last game so he should get to rest up. I would think they would sit him with a min to go in the end of the 1st and 3rd periods. So he can rest that min and the break between Periods. I remember P hil Jackson used to do that with MJ.

The Rockets CANNOT get complacent with the Mavs. They do not have the best away record in the NBA for a reason. Everyone is now writing them off, and I can see them stealing a game in Houston. Yao, and Tracy know what's expected of them in the playoffs. Whether it's fighting off injury or playing 40 minutes a game, they have to know that they must elevate their game. I have a bad feeling of us writing the Mavs off and them coming back to hit us where it hurts..
Yeah, we gotta stay humble and take one game at a time. I'm sure Tracy feels the same as well, because of the memories of his Orlando stay. It aint over till its over. Although it is fun to dwell on the future, we gotta keep our feet on the ground. I like how the team is looking right now though so my hopes are high.
well there's a big difference between 47 minutes a game and 40...but I see what you guys are saying. I just don't want McGrady to go down cuz obviously that would kil us. Anyway, I also think we can't get too cocky, but I think we'll be ok cuz of Mike James and Barry. Barry keeps givin McGrady **** cuz of what he said after going up 3-1 vs DET, and James keeps wearin his ring to show off and to show the other guys what they're playin for. We really gotta keep up the pressure and intesity though, so we can maybe get that extra rest if we can get a sweep or a 5 game series. KEEP IT UP!
