According to tempted to touch, the lakers can receive a former all-star who didn't make the playoffs this year. Look dude, I'm not doubting that he is your uncle, but I am doubting that he would tell you this kind of information because you would go leak it out like on here Just BBall. If he did tell that, please tell us who. Will he find out? Do you think your uncle comes on this site and posts information or his opinion. Heck he won't find out cuz i seriously doubt that anyone else would have any relation with him on this whole site. Anyway the possible players are: Stephon Marbury, Jalen rose,Lebron James (lol), Big Z (likely), Desmond Mason, Michael Redd, Grant Hill, Steve Francis, Jamaal Maglorie (maybe), Glenn Robinson, KG (LOL), Latrell Sprewell, Sam Cassell, Carlos boozer (maybe), Andrei Kirilenko (I like that), Baron Davis, J-Rich, Elton Brand (I like that), hm thats all the players that I can think of that fit under the description that tempted to touch said. I really like Andre Kirlenko, or Elton Brand, but Biz Z or Jamal Maglorie will be an upgrade.

Well, around 80% of the players you named would never come to the Lakers because they COST TOO MUCH.

    glenn robinson? hell no!!!!
    jalen rose? hell no!!!!
big z? hell no!!!! injury prone, old, and slow
sprewell? do we need another complainer? hell no!!!! also too old
marbury? hell no!!!! he's just like odom, he needs the ball a lot to be effective, and bryant needs the ball a lot too, so hell no!!!!
grant hill? do i even need to explain? old, big contract, injury prone, probably won't play even half the season, so hell no!!!!
i personally would welcome boozer. and also, you forgot a player on your list, antonio mcdysee. i wouldn't want him on the team though, cuz he's old and an injury prone.

yeah, getting someone like Sprewell would be suicide. They should go after someone who can accept the role of a hustler by getting rebounds, setting picks and playing Defense. Gerald Wallace comes to mind.

^^^ [IMG] Take it from me, dont doubt this kid....he will make a new thread about you if you do .... ohhh .

But the one person i have my heart set on realisticlly but doubtfully is Ron Artest. He's my best friends 2nd favorite player and ive grown to really respect this guys game.... he arguably is the finest defender in the league, and has become to be a 20+ point scoring threat over the years. Yes, his temper and such are to question, but LA have found it quite easy to put things in the past easily when W's are being notched.....Artest at the 3 could be EASY playoffs for LA.

I'd love Artest on the Team. He brings intensity on the floor. He'll be a great pickup. All we would need after that is a couple big men in the draft.

Maybe the Lakers can swing a deal for Ron Artest. He's a great defender, good on offense, and can bring toughness to this year's soft Lakers. Plus, he probably still retains knowledge of the Triangle Offense from his Chicago days so he'll fit right in immediately. I don't know if Indy is still hot on him, but I think Ron will want to move to Hollywood, where he can work on his music as well. [IMG]
How about making a move for Kwame Brown now that he's in the Wizards doghouse? He's long and athletic, he can be our perfect power forward. He's still MJ's #1 pick, so there has to be talent in him. He just needs some nurture, and probably we can get him on the cheap. I know Tyson Chandler's a more attractive possibility, but I doubt the Bulls will let him leave, specially now with Curry's injured.

Yea, id really like artest for LA. However What would you do with Caron and or Odom? Odom is a natural 3, as well as caron, however caron showed this past year he can do well at the 2 as well as the 3. I personally think Caron could give LA that 1 player spark off the bench so many teams enjoy these days, thats something LA has never really had (Fisher, sometimes...but not a 20+point threat off the bench).

Maybe make a trade to indiana for artest, keep odom on as a PF(smh) and place Artest at the 3. look something like...

    PG- pickup/Chucky
    SG- Kobe
SF- Artest - Caron off the bench
    PF- Lamar/Other
    C- Mihm/Other

How about moving Lamar Odom to the PG position? Dr. Buss keeps talking about bringing back "Showtime" so why not start with going back to using a tall player to run the offense ala Magic. Lamar Odom is more than capable of bringing the ball up and the team played better when the offense flowed through him. The Lakers would have to protect him defensively, and they still need a post up player to give them an inside presence. I'm hoping the Lakers can get a defensive PG in free agency (Antonio Daniels, Juan Dixon, or Tyronn Lue) and use their draft picks to bring in more size.

Jamaal Magloire makes the most sense to me because
-he doesn't have a huge contract
    -New Orleans rebuilding
