Will be anounced at a press conference today I don't think anyone can argue this award, the guy is going to get paid well this summer.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Bobby Simmons of the Los Angeles Clippers was a runaway winner of the NBA Most Improved Player award Thursday, easily topping Miami All-Star Dwyane Wade and Detroit standout Tayshaun Prince despite playing on a losing team. Simmons, who will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, is the first Clippers player to win the award that started following the 1985-86 season. Portland's Zach Randolph won it last year. Simmons received 59 first-place votes and 384 points in voting by sports writers and broadcasters. Wade got 15 first-place votes and 129 points, and Prince had 14 first-place votes and 107 points. </div> http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-n...ov=ap&type=lgns I'm surprised Prince got so many votes, he was pretty effective last year and the jump for him might be considered "natural" for such a young guy who showed a lot last year. The same goes for Wade. Simmons came out of nowhere on the other hand to fill the void left by Q-Rich and the injury to Kittles. Glad to see this guy get the award.
I'll have to say I had no doubt about it, really, I didn't think they'd pick anyone else over him. You had a guy like Lebron who got better, but who actually doubted that Lebron would improve? Most predcitions for him this season were something 25-6-6 and about 45% FG shooting. He surpassed that, but we kind of expected it. Wade you could say improved his numbers even more than Lebron, and he also improved his defense in addition to getting Shaq behind him. Also with Wade though, we expected it, though I expected more like 21-5-6 and 48-50% shooting, but if you watched him last season, and if you saw the playoffs, you'd say it was inevitable. The highlight of the article: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Earlier this week, Dunleavy called re-signing Simmons ``a high very priority, as far as I'm concerned.'' </div>
Very well deserving of the award. He had an awesome year and like Allnet said, will get make bank this summer.

Yea, I was a little worried about Vince, Shaq, Marion and Dirk being in there, don't know what those people that voted for them were thinking.
Bobby deserved to win it. His play has been real good and his numbers are a huge jump from last years.
Bobby Simmons is very deserving of this award. He had an impressive season for the Clippers, and there will be a lot of interest in him during the offseason.
Well deserved by Simmons. I really didn't think it anyone else would win it, because nobody improved like he did. The voters are reluctant to give Wade/LeBron a first place award because they are expected to vote, and someone like Prince improved a lot, but he did not stand out like Simmons did. Whoever voted for Shaq shouldn't be allowed to vote again. They probably voted for him as DPOY too.
