after game 3 of the playoffs, green saw extended minutes of playing time, and played great defense. if obie continues to give green this much minutes throughout the series, what do you guys think are the chances of willie wanting to return?
I don't think the chances are great at this point. The ammount of minutes we are giving Willie doesn't call for the contract that he is going to get else where. We can match the offer, but do you really want five million just sitting on your bench and only using him when Iverson is hurt? I rather use that money to re-sign Rodney Rogers, Kyle Korver, and Samuel Dalembert. Willie will get his chance to start in the league, but as long as Iverson is in Philly, Green won't be starting here.

Korver, Iguodala, Dalembert and Green are all young players and they're all major assets to this team and to rely on yet another young player to carry some of the load is not the smartest thing to do. We need a couple guys who have been around the ropes, because our younger guys outweigh our veterans and supposedly trying to build a championship team, we cannot have that. But I don't know if you meant "young" as in atheltic, but if that were the case a player like Stromile Swift would be welcomed. We could use a player like him anyday.
