I believe most of you guys watched the game. Apart from the fatal faults near the end, don't you think Yao scored too little tonight? Actually the big guy is quite efficient, but he's just got too little support from his teammates. He didn't even shot in the first qtr! When Padgett couldn't find the hole in the primeter and Jon was unable to make the lay-up, why didn't they even take a look @ the big man? " I want everybody in this team to know that we have a player shooting 69% on average." Said JVG. I don't mean to criticize anyone but if Rox want to hold the tiebreaker, they have to find out some way to pass the ball on to Yao under the defense pressure. That's the key to the series; that's the key to the championship! Clutch city have to do something now.
Dan Le, thanx for replying. I'm not previewing the game, I just gave the 2 cents to Rox. Do you think someone has relationship to Rox may see this thread?
I doubt that, but since Yao Ming loves Video Games he might be searching the internet for cheats and then get bored so he looks up his own name in google and it eventually links to us!....It could happen...
Well I really shouldn't be talking about that here, but since this thread might get locked up i'll talk about it anyway... I don't know if Yao cheats in Video Games, I read that Yao spends alot of time playing Video Games when he isn't in practice, interviews or playing an actual game, I also know he hardly ever uses himself in NBA video games and often uses point guards for their crossovers and such, he is also a big fan of RPG games.
I have no doubt in my mind that Houston could go to the finals if only Yao could stay out of foul trouble. It completely changes his game and midset when he has 3-4 fouls. Like they were saying yesterday, the big man needs to get off his feet and try to block shots rather than trying to take charges and draw offensive fouls. Theres no way he is gonna get a charge from a 6 foot guard, and yet he tries, but it's also because a lot of times he just gets back too late on defense. But when Yao is not in foul trouble he is unstoppable, as seen in game 2.
Concerned with alleviating the defensive pressure and helping Yao with trouble mess, Bowen may be doing a better job than Padgett. When Dirk managed to get around with the defender and was facing our center, Padgett just seemed too hesitated to foul on him, but Yao lamented the foul. While Bowen wasn't greedy to sacrifice and thoroughly stopped him. What's more, Bowen fouled before Dirk found the hole.
Has anyone read the article in the Houston Chronicle about Van Gundy's claim that the refs are partially against Yao? Just wondering what the take was on a Houston forum?
Every foreign may be accommodated with prejudice in the States more or less, so is the case on the court.

With Cubans comments I think Van Gundy was just making sure that they dont pay more attention due to Cuban. I really dont think the refs were going after Yao but I think Van Gundy just wanted to counter Cuban and make sure they didnt.
