<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rosa Ellis, Monta's mother, raised the hopes of State fans last week when she said she wanted to keep open all his options, including attending State. That came a day after Monta had said he planned to sign a contract soon with Miller, who represents several high-profile NBA players. But even as Rosa Ellis was talking, Monta was at the same sports academy where Sebastian Telfair and Chauncey Billups, two Miller clients, have trained in the past. As one agent, speaking on condition of anonymity put it, "If Monta's at IMG, then there's a 99-point-9 percent chance he's going with Miller." Miller, by the way, filed his application to operate as a sports agent in Mississippi in December, James Anderson, assistant secretary of state, confirmed Friday. Monta Ellis, scheduled to graduate from Lanier this month, missed a week of school. That's no big deal, said Lanier Principal Stanley Blackmon, because Ellis is in Florida rehabilitating his injured knee. "It's an excused absence and he'll have a chance to make up the work," Blackmon said. "It's a medical thing, the same if he had been in a car wreck." Ellis, Blackmon confirmed, "is in good shape academically." Nevertheless, Monta appears hell-bent on going directly to the NBA.</div> Source
I'm sorry, but I wasn't impressed with what I saw with Ellis. He doesn't have a true position but I think he'd be a better point guard if he's going to go NBA. But if he decides to go to Mississippi State, then he would probably play SG. So he better start working his arse off is he plans on playing in the NBA next year, because he isn't ready from what I've seen of 'em.
Agreed. He didn't impress me either, he really need to get his rear in gear if he wants to earn his keep in the big leagues, he still needs ALOT of improvement and will be at best just a role player if he makes it.
