The Kings have the #23 Pick Although the draft is still 49 days away, I have been on numerous Mock Draft Sites, and these are the best three possibilities for Sacramento: http://www.nbadraft.net/index.asp <font color="DarkOrange">Hakim Warrick, Syracuse</font> <u>NBA Comparison:</u> Marcus Camby http://probasketball.about.com/od/nbadraft...mockdraft_a.htm <font color="Navy">Charlie Villanueva, Connecticut</font> <u>NBA Comparison:</u> Lamar Odom http://www.hoopshype.com/draft.htm <font color="Blue">Wayne Simien, Kansas</font> <u>NBA Comparison:</u> Udonis Haslem Personally, any of these three I feel help the Kings. I would be very glad if either of the three come to Sacramento. What do you think about the Kings draft.
^I think any of those 3 guys would be good too.Id say the best type of player the kings can draft is an extremely athletic defensive player.
If I could choose any of those three Id take Villanueva.Nice athletic shot blocking Stromile Swift type player.I think a player like that is this teams missing piece.
Yeah, I agree. Out of the 3, Villanueva has the most of what the Kings need. He is a very tough, hard nosed shot blocker who is a big body and is ready for the NBA game. Warrick has questions about where he would fit and I would see Adleman using him like he did Gerald Wallace. I'm not sure if Simien is big enough to play the role that he would be asked too. But regardless, I would be happy with any of those 3.
You probably won't get Villanueva or Warrick, since they are likely to be chosen before the Kings pick. Well it's possible Warrick will slip down there, but I can't see a talent like him dropping that low. Simien is the more likely choice because he's an undersized PF, thus his stock isn't that high. I would take CJ Miles though if he was on the board. With Mobley due for a new contract, it may be hard to re-sign, so you need a SG. I don't think Martin or Evans are the long term solutions. If he falls down the Kings, and they select him, he should fit in well with this run and gun, shooting team.
Now www.NBADraft.net has Sacramento Getting Monta Ellis, a guard from Missisippi State. He is 6'3, 175. People say he might be too small, and to skinny. But Check out these stats: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Season high of 72 points and averages close to 40 ? Has a complete offensive arsenal ? Scores in a variety of ways ? Has a pure shot with NBA range ... Has no problems creating his own shots and is not fazed by double and triple teams ? Can beat you off the dribble ? Very strong mentally ... Terrific handle and an underrated passer ? Has the ability to find teammates with excellent court vision ? Very quick and explosive ? Will rise up and dunk on you </div> http://www.nbadraft.net/profiles/montaellis.asp The Kid seems good.... we should take him if Mobley don't want to come back.
