As great of a job as I think Rick has done in his time coaching the Kings I would QUESTION whether or not he should continue to be the Kings head coach. There were a couple things that stuck out to me from this previous playoff series with the sonics that indicate to me that his spot on the coaching staff isnt a guarantee for next year.Discuss.

I love Rick Adelman as a coach. Simply dealing with all the changes he had this year and assembling a respectable record despite that is pretty impressive. This year, he lost three key players in Vlade, Webber and Christie - the best passers on the best passing team. The players seem to respect him, and he seems to get the most out of his players.

This series he had some questionable decisions, such as Eddie House, Maurice Evans and Brian Skinner's lack of playing time, but his decision to play the more experienced players with a stricter rotation is generally what coaches do going into the postseason.

I feel that he deserves at least another year to get the most out of his current roster. Many of the new players had to learn on the go with little practice session. Now, if he can integrate these players into the system over the offseason, we should see significant improvements in the team.

    Yes, he should go.
Hes done a good job, but that team is changing.
Adelman just doesn't seem like a good long term coach for them.
It's just time for him to move on, ya know.

If Sacramento is going to go into rebuilding mode: Yes. They will want to have a new coach to give the team a new identity. This team may very well not be here next year. If a team makes many trades and enters rebuilding mode, the coach-at-the-time almost always gets fired/quits/leaves. They'd probably get some low profile coach for a few years and get a veteran/proven one when they are more serious contenders.

If they are going to continue using this core, then Adelman stays.

i dont think they are "rebuilding"... a deal or two + a coach change and maybe a FA puts them in championship run again
