Melo suspended? That would be about as much bull as the officials we had in the game! When the player who got hit says that in the same situation he would do the same thing , and didn't think it was flagrant and u gonna suspend Melo? Naw but i'm now petitioning for a job as an NBA official, i mean i can call fouls on one team and not the other unless the guy is thrown to the floor, U guys think i got a chance?
I haven't watched the game but from the ESPN motion I saw we're looking so lost in the game, I suspect from the Spurs run to take a 10 pt lead in the second quarter... we began to lose our composure. Defensively, we're awful, Gino under the basket for 2, Camby could have come to Horry to make it tougher for him taking that dagger three pointer. We choked in this game. I'll comment more after I watch it. But, we definitely need to bounce back in Game 4 otherwise if we don't show that we want to hang with them in this series we don't even deserve to go to second round. The Spurs are the team that should go to the next round... at least for now. What's worse, the officials seemed to be on our side early in the game, I'm not sure if they're gonna call the same calls against them again.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting raptors4life:</div><div class="quote_post">Go Nuggets. I don't want SA to win, Tim Duncan just bothers me and the team is so boring to watch. Go Denver, lol. They can win this one no matter what anyone says.</div> Yeah, I guess you could call a Spurs game boring. Who wants to see incredibly organized ball movement, cunning strategy, hard core blocks, physic-defying floaters and intense drives? I guess seeing a team and their coach crying to the refs about every call against them (even though Tim Duncan, the most boring player in the league, was all but taken out of the game with 3 quick ticky-tacks) is EXCITEMENT INCARNATE. Get real.

Great preview. This was a very exciting game and I was pulling for the Nuggets to tie up the series with a home win. One rant I have is the terrible officiating though. The refs turned this into a free throw shooting contest and there was no flow to the game. Earl Boykins was amazing though, I can't say enough at how he constantly impresses me. I thought he made the game winner, but his shot was ruled a 2 and not a 3. Carmelo had his best playoff game yet, but Tony Parker was too, good down the stretch. I'm not sure if Denver can win again in San Antonio, but this team is putting the Spurs to the test.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting briang8818:</div><div class="quote_post">Tim Duncans "foul" on Carmelo... just horrible</div> Yeah that was a terrible call, Carmelo flat out slipped on the play. If the Spurs lost because of TD fouling out the fans would be screaming for the refs heads.

I can't believe the refs actually obliged that whiner Karl and fined Van Gundy $100K. It made for a horrible game but despite the refs being against them, and despite being in that mile-high freezer of a town, the Spurs emerged victorious. Now they have to finish this ugly little series and I hope they do it hard.
Spurs win 126 - 115 in OT. Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili were the only Spurs to get into double figures for scoring. Duncan had 39 points, Parker 29 and Ginobili 24 off the bench. After losing the first game, San Antonio now leads the series 3-1.

Therefore you'll see a lot of weird calls against the team leading the series, but ALL playoff teams face this and it's a matter of playing through it. And the Spurs did that, well done. For the Nuggets, it all comes down to defense... our D continues to slip ever since Marcus went down late in the season. At least, we still have one more game to push this series as long as we can. I like what George Karl treats our situation now as: "NCAA tournament. Single elimination" at least we still have one more game of a chance to extend this series as long as it can be. I really don't think we'll win the series to be honest... if we win Game 5, we'll fall in either Game 6 or 7 for sure. There's no way the Spurs are losing 3 straight... but we should remember Portland also bounced back from a 1-3 deficit to force Game 7 against the Lakers in 2000 WCF and damm near went to the Finals had not been for their 4th quarter collapse. We still have a chance. SHould we lose, it's okay but it's still important to extend this series because we need to gain as much experience as there is available on the table. Playing a phenomenal team like the Spurs will teach us a lot of things that we can utilize for next season. Right now, we really should cherish on the fact we still have one more game in the series.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 94ftOfTherapy:</div><div class="quote_post">lol its ok guys melo is not suspended.</div> I hate this NBA front office!!! If it would have been any other player than Melo, Wade or Lebron then it would have definetely been a suspension. This is so f****k unfair. And Fortson would have been "awarded" with a 3 game suspension for a foul like that - I'm sure!
I really think that the Denver Nuggets have very little if no class at all. Kenyon Mart, Carmelo, George Karl there all punks and I am glad to see them go down by the good guys.
Wow, even though Manu Ginobili is the biggest flopper in the leauge there is no reason for the refs to call a total of 73 fouls in this game, thats bs let them play.
Any time it takes an hour to play a quarter, there is something seriously wrong with the officiating.
