Great news, sprewell lowered his price tag and wont return to minnesota.
whatever, why do we need another point gaurd. Sura will be great next season and james is backing him up just fine. There is no real need to take one of them out of the rotation.

spree is a sf who can play the 2....its a risk getting him - maybe it works, maybe it doesn't in the short term, but he's old and if he has anything left its 1-2 years of good ball

bplld, our backcourt has no speed. That is our weakest aspect and dallas managed to exploited that. How many times terry and finley blowed pass by wesley and sura? Yao get into foul trouble pretty much was due to our backcourt's fault also. Nobody's guarding the paint except Yao when dallas' guard drive into the lane. That's why i think we need a younger, speedier backcourt.. like mobley or dickau.
Bobby Sura is getting older and he's simply dissapear in dallas series... while mike james personally i think can't set plays. He often opted to shoot first. He's not a true PG for me.
And please no sprewell, why do you insist of bringing sprewell here? he's old and he's only thinking about his money. He's not the old Spree in Knicks anymore.

Bob sura was actually pretty good most of the season on defensse. The back problem really slowed him down though in the playoffs.
I liked the energy that james is bringing off the bench. He ball hogs a bit but he still is the third highest scorer on this team.
I see what you mean, but i think we can wait a few years before we need to really worry about the pg spot. Our priority should be the PF spot, which was really the biggest problem in the playoffs cuz it forced double teams leaving open threes, and after that would be the shooting gaurd spot. Right now our pg rotation is one of the better in the nba.

Mike James is like our Bobby Jackson...they play the same style pretty much...I never considered the idea of re-signing Mobley...that might actually not be a bad idea...he was a 40% trey-bomber, could slash and also became a pretty decent defender under JVG...I'm not sure if we need another PG...the thing is that we have so many combo guards (James, Sura, Barry, Wesley)...as it is, TMac brings the ball up 90% of the time so it doesnt even matter...

Van Gundy seems to gravitate to old Knicks just a bit to much in my opinion.
