I think Cuttino Mobley has been a big problem with the Kings. He doesn't pass well. I Don't think he is going to re-sign. Do you Guys? I Don't want him to re-sign. Do you? Give me your reasons. Who else would we go for at the SG spot?
We can draft one of theese SG: <ul> [*]Monta Ellis [*]Rudy Fernandez [*]Kennedy Winston [*]Fransico Garcia
Also, the Free Agents on the Market: <ul> [*]Ray Allen [*]Mike Redd [*]Larry Hughes [*]Joe Johnson [*]Eddie Jones
After what he did to them, they should go after Ray. They probably wont get him, so i'd say go after Hughes, Redd or Joe Johnson. Any of them would be great. Also if we can aqquire one of these people, we can get a PF in the draft. Tough Things Ahead for Sacramento. Bobby Jackson's contract option is up. Cuttino Mobley might decline his option to test his value. Or will they pass on both to go young by re-signing Maurice Evans and giving more time to No. 1 pick Kevin Martin?
I think they won't re-sign Mobley, since he wants a 7 year deal and he's 30 right now. If they do re-sign him, they'll definately be looking to trade him. I think they'll really want to get Mo Evans back, and Bobby if the price is right. I also think Bobby Jackson will be traded if he's re-signed as well. Oh, and the Kings won't land Ray Allen. He wants something like $20 million a year for the maximum length, and the Kings don't have the cap room and don't need another aging superstar.
You guys won't be able to sign Redd either since the only real contenders for him are Milwaukee and Cleveland since they have enough cap space to sign him to what he wants.
If im not mistaken,Mobley,Jackson, and Peja all have one more year on their contracts or the Kings hold some kind of option on them for an extra year.I think Mobley will want to stay because its the best team hes ever played on.The only guy that I think is questionable is Jackson.Hes fully capable of starting at point guard and hed be one of the better ones in the league, yet he makes a bench players salary.Id like it if all of them were kept for this upcoming season but I think as long as the Kings dont lose Jackson and Mobley they'll be fine.Hell they'll probably be fine anyway seeing as how Geoff Petrie is GM.
Mobley comes out of contract this year but has an option of an extention at abotu 7million for one extra year.
Mobley has a player option for $6,374,875, Jackson has a club option for $3,375,000 and Peja has one more year left on his deal at $7,600,000, plus a player option for another year at $8,225,000. I think that they should keep Jackson and they have to resign Mo Evans. If I am the Kings, I have a huge bulls-eye on Larry Hughes. He would be PERFECT for the Kings. One of the best defenders in the League, runs well, pushes the ball, shoots well and can be a great scorer when needed. I would do whatever it takes to get Larry in Sactown next season.
also, i wouldn't mind keeping Eddie House as a reserve player. With all the injuries the Kings get, you can never have too many scorers.
I'd like to see Mobley out of Sacramento. He isn't good for their offense, Fan4Life was right about that. He just doesn't seem to blend very well with what the Kings are trying to do. Too many hurried shots, and not enough passing. With Christie at the SG, they had someone who could pass better then most PGs, I think they're really missing that.
Larry Hughes plays great D.However hes an AWFUL 3pt shooter, always has been. For a guy who doesnt like shooting 3's he doesnt have a good shooting percentage either. So id say hes a below average shooter. He's also going to want alot of money after the season hes had.
Have you been watching him in the playoffs? He has been a pretty solid shooter this year but that is beside the point. At this point, the Kings don't need offence that much, they need defence and Hughes would fill that roll.
To add to what sactomofo said, the Kings really don't need another shooter. I haven't seen Hughes play all that much, but I assume he is young and athletic enough to penetrate, adjust, and put up a high percentage shot inside, which is what the Kings really need. I know he isn't a big man, but I'm just saying, the Kings have always lacked a slasher/attacker... perhaps Hughes could fill that hole.
i don't think you guys should have traded for him in the first place. then, you will still have doug. i also don't think that you guys should have trade away webber. i mean, if you guys still had these two players, you probably would have beaten seattle, or at least you would have made it a series.

If they hadn't made the trade, I truly believe that the Kings would still be playing.
I must be one of the only ones that thinks the Kings came out better after all their trades.Mobley has only played with the team about a half a season.Tough to fit in perfectly in that time id think.Hope they keep Mobley.
i think kings made 2 great trades... but nothing is gonna be helping soon... a couple years those trades will settle in

He was taller than Mobley too. He could of probably contained Ray Allen better too. Then Webber trade was dumb too, because they trade Barnes too. Barnes was a main part of the bench. They just got two more Power Forwards in Skinner, and Thomas. They can't really play a center spot.

Take the expiring. Lose some cap. Good Thinking! <div class="quote_poster">Quoting J_Ray:</div><div class="quote_post"> Then Webber trade was dumb too, because they trade Barnes too. Now, instead of having a backup core of PG: House(when BJ injured) SG: K-mart SF: Maurice and Barnes PF: Darius C: Ostertag, they went to PG: House(when BJ injured) SG: K-Mart SF: Evans, Corliss PF: DArius C: Skinner, Ostertag. They got deeper. Barnes probably wont go anywhere in his career. Also, another big issue. CAP was lost!
