<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">WINSTON-SALEM - Chris Paul wouldn't mind if the next basketball uniform he pulls over his head belongs to the Charlotte Bobcats.

But Paul, Wake Forest's All-America point guard who announced Thursday he will skip his final two years of college ball and declare for June's NBA draft, is also a realist.

"I'm sure my mom wouldn't have a problem with that," said Paul, who grew up in the Forsyth County town of Lewisville, just minutes from the Wake Forest campus and about 80 miles from Charlotte. "And my aunt lives in Charlotte. That would be nice to play for the Bobcats.

"But right now I would just like to play for the team with the No. 1 pick."

Being drafted by the Bobcats is a legitimate possibility for Paul. Depending on how the lottery's Ping-Pong balls bounce, odds are that Charlotte, with the league's second-worst record and a need for a young point guard, will have the draft's first or second pick.</div>
