<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Come July 1, 29 NBA teams will be asking themselves what went wrong in 2005 and who'll help them get better in 2006. There's two avenues where NBA teams can look for answers: the long-term prospects found in the NBA Draft or the more immediate help that can be found from the hundreds of NBA free agents. We've already got the NBA Draft well covered, so let's turn our attention to the 2005 NBA Free Agent market with a look at the top 40 free agents at each position. <div align="center">...</div> 1. Marko Jaric (Restricted) 2. Sarunas Jasikevicius 3. Antonio Daniels (Player Option) 4. Gary Payton 5. Brevin Knight 6. Earl Watson </div> <div align="center">Full Article</div> The Jazz are after an experienced Point Guard, and they don't have much cap space to use. Who do you think they should go after?
If I were the Jazz I would first see if I can get one of the top three point guards in the draft (Paul, Williams, or Felton) because it is a very strong class for point guards this year with three possibly going top ten. If they fail to get a point guard then I would turn to either Antonio Daniels, Chris Duhon (restricted though), and for a bargain I would go after Tierre Brown. My first choice is Daniels though, a very underrated point guard with always one of the best assits per turnover ratio in the league. The Bulls probably won't let Duhon walk, he has been coming along great for them in the starting lineup.
I think Earl Watson could be a good fit for the Jazz, he seems like he could handle a starting role and he is a consistent player from what I've seen, I may be wrong because I havent watched him much. I think they should go after him or Antonio Daniels, I'd say my boy the Glove but his legs arent as fresh as the Jazz would require them to be.
The Jazz should go after Earl Watson, if they can afford him. He should be able to start for the Jazz if needed, and would be an effective option off the bench. His numbers are similar to Keith McLeod's, but Watson has more experience in the league, which is what the Jazz are after.
PG needs What we need is an experienced Starting PG....Daniels, maybe.........Watson, no thanks! What has Watson done for the Griz?? The Spurs are thin at SF behind Bowen since they got rid of Malik Rose.....First, I'd try using Harpring for trade bait and make a run on Udrih. Harp should give them what they need in the short term , and his expiring contract should give them time to round up the player they want. Udrih is a pure PG and according to Popovitch, he understands the position better than Parker...........If that failed, I'd make a run on Jaric with the MLE. He would absolutely fill the bill. I can't get all warm and fuzzy over the PG prospects in this year's draft. Paul, Williams, and Felton just don't do it for me, and it would take too long to explain. I keep Giricek to start at the SG and with our top pick,(between #1 and #7), can you say Gerald Green to back him up. We sign and trade Bell if possible, or he walks. Then I trade up from #27 to about #15....What ever it takes within reason, and I pick Roko Ukic from KK Split out of Croatia, to develope at PG behind Udrih or Jarik. I think Lopez' productive days are over, and if McLeod is cheap, he's 3rd off the bench. Just how I see it................Tank
What are you people talking about? Knight, old guys, watson, Udrih. Cmon, keep McLeod cuz he's the only good pg they have. Then get Felton, because they played better when they ran. They beat the Suns doing that. Plus Felton is a combo guard that can pass and shoot. Then when Boozer and AK-47 come back with Okur. They will be good. Then I agree trading Harpring and getting another 3-shooter. I would get that Caroll guy from Charlotte, or get Pargo via free agency. Then use my 2nd round pick to select Salim Stoudemire. Look at all the doubters, I would get him because everyone doubts his cousin Damon, and look where he is now.

And you'd get Salim S because everybody doubts His cousin?........Thats a hell of a good reason!.... And where is Mighty Mouse now?....Out of a contract and into more drugs I'd guess. Tank

He's a young player with a lot of promise. Caroll also came on at the end of the year and his stats are down because he started out slow. Then I watch every Arizona game this year and Salim is for reals. Him and Frye were great. Salim ain't a druggy and he's better than his cousin Damon. Him and Frye were great. He can play good defense too. He's a hard nose player. <font color="DimGray"><font size="1">Edit: Please don't double post in future. Thanks, Stockton</font></font>
