<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He has tried all season to send not-so-subtle messages to New Jersey management that he wants to be traded. Alonzo Mourning got his wish, leaving New Jersey and eventually landing in Miami. Heck, even Elden Campbell got what he wanted, going back to Detroit not long after being traded to New Jersey. So while the system shouldn't allow for players to dictate where they play and on what terms, Kidd deserves the same chances more vocal veterans such as Mourning have gotten. The question is, where can he go? The Houston Rockets would be an intriguing home for Kidd, but the Rockets have nothing to offer in return for Kidd and his $16 million salary next season. Minnesota would work, but unless the Nets are willing to settle for an aging Sam Cassell and Wally Szczerbiak in return, it's doubtful he would be sent in that direction. One possible destination for Kidd, which might sound fairly dull at first, is Memphis. Considering that the Grizzlies are looking to make moves to place them in the upper echelon of the Western Conference, they should be more than willing to part with disgruntled small forward Bonzi Wells (assuming he triggers the $8 million player option on his contract next season) and pen-stealing point guard Jason Williams, who combined make enough to make a trade for Kidd work. In New Jersey, Williams would not only be a draw but would add an element of basketball theater alongside Carter and Richard Jefferson. And Wells would give the Nets depth that high-socks Scalabrine just can't provide. Adding Kidd to the Grizzlies out West, which remains the Spurs and everyone else, would make Memphis among the best teams in the conference. The Nets that reached two NBA Finals featured lineups of Kidd, Jefferson, Kenyon Martin, Kerry Kittles and any old stiff in the middle. The benches were decent but not extremely deep, featuring guys like Anthony Johnson, Lucious Harris, Aaron Williams and Rodney Rogers.</div> Source
hmm memphis wow i forgot about them. he might land there but id rather have him stay in jersey. but if he goes to memphis he might make the team even better.
This just sounds more like one writer's suggestion than an actual rumor. While I'd love to see my favorite player on my favorite team, I don't think there's any chance of it happening. New Jersey could get more for Kidd than anything Memphis has to offer.
I read on hoopshype.com where Kidd might force a trade to Houston...does anyone know if there is any significance to that?
New Jersey not in a million year trade Kidd. not unless they will get a really explosive player in return. if he will land in memphis his championship hope i think will be dimmer that in New Jersey
I think the Nets should trade J-Kidd to Charlotte if they get the number one pick. They could then get the Number one pick then get maybe even Okafor.
Kidd, TMac and Yao what atrio of players they would easily make it to the playoffs, it's never gonna happen though

....no. Why would they do that? Jason Williams is a total downgrade from Kidd. They could get Swift via free agency. And if they acquire Wright, it wouldn't much sense either, because they could just select a big in the draft like Petro or Frye. Kidd is part of the core, it won't benefit the team as a whole if Kidd is traded for Williams.

The biggest flaw in Kidd is that he CANNOT shoot!
I think J Kidd will fit well in Memphis, for some reason I can see this happening. I think J Will and VC will be a good combo, I mean J Will can also make nice passes and hit open shots.
Houston couldn't offer anything for Kidd. Not unless NJ want to free up cap space. Houston has some attractive expiring contracts in Ward, Moochie Norris, Vin Baker and Weatherspoon. I still don't know if that could add up to Kidd's salary.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting NbaBaller:</div><div class="quote_post">no1 answered my questions. when is tradin and signin free agents allowed?</div> It was allowed once the regular season ended for teams not in the playoffs, for TRADES. Free agent signing begins at the end of the month, unless there is a lockout.

What if JKidd could go to the LA Lakers. He would make Kobe even better. The Cavaliers are offering money as well. He would make a good combo with LeBron
