<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">There could be some talented free-agent shooting guards who won't cost a fortune. Minnesota's Latrell Sprewell wants out and is close to Nuggets center Marcus Camby, but he has a history of creating turmoil. The Memphis Grizzlies are expected to opt out of the last year of troubled Bonzi Wells' contract. The Los Angeles Clippers' Kerry Kittles only played in 11 games because of injury last season but could be a steal if healthy. Other free-agent shooting guards include the Clippers' Bobby Simmons, the 2005 NBA most improved player, and Marko Jaric, Philadelphia's Kyle Korver, Charlotte's Kareem Rush and Keith Bogans, Indiana's James Jones, Seattle's Ronald Murray, Miami's Shandon Anderson and Qyntel Woods, New Orleans' Casey Jacobsen and Bostjan Nachbar, Sacramento's Maurice Evans and San Antonio's Devin Brown. While the Clippers are expected to re-sign Simmons, they are the Clippers and known to make bonehead moves. It might be worth the gamble for the Nuggets to make a strong run at this budding star with the midlevel exception. While the 20th and 22nd picks in the NBA draft wouldn't seem like much in most years, this year is an exception. The potential age limit coming in 2006 is expected to result in many prospects entering the draft early. And, good news for the Nuggets, this draft is expected to be loaded with shooting guards. Potential prospects who could be available when Denver picks include North Carolina's Rashard McCants, Texas A&M's Antoine Wright, New Mexico's Danny Granger, Alabama's Kennedy Winston, Louisville's Francisco Garcia, North Carolina State's Julius Hodge, Georgia Tech's B.J. Elder and Indiana's Bracey Wright as well as Rudy Fernandez from Spain. And, if the Nuggets are looking for a shooting guard to groom for the future, there could be such prep stars as Martell Webster, Louis Williams and CJ Miles and Turkey's Ersan Ilyasova available. The Nuggets probably will not add a marquee shooting guard, but they should be able to land a quality one. </div> Source
Korver would be a great fit in Denver, athough the Nugs will already have a shooter in Lenard...Sprewell would be a decent fit, but very risky obviously...I think they need a shooter like Korver or the calibre of Michael Redd because they have slashers and post up people in Miller, Anthony, Camby and Martin...
i think korver will be a great pick up..... he is a great shooter and lenard is aging..... he has a quick release of the ball w/c is difficult to block.... spree is a no no for the nuggs.......

Plus Denver needs more that a shooting gaurd to become a championship contender.

The 76ers say they will match any offer, but the fact still remains the team is handcuffed financially with AI's and CWebb's contracts. They also will have to shell out a lot of money to retain Dalembert. Kyle Korver has also said he wants to be a starter next season. Are the Sixers prepared to meet both those demands?
^^^ lol, I'm a Korver fan, but even I know that he needs to be coming off the bench as a 3-point specialist...he doesnt have the all-around game to deserve starter's minutes...
I think Kareem Rush would be a great fit. He can do more than just shoot treys (unlike Korver), and given the right system and good amount of PT, he could live up to his full potential. Plus, with him playing alongside Melo and Martin, he's going to get plenty of open looks with them drawing away the defense. I think he'd be a great fit down there. He fulfills the need of a deep threat and he's got athleticism to go with it. One last thing, he'll also likely come fairly cheap. Since he hasn't done too much, it's not likely he's going to ask for a whole lot.
Rush would be an amazing fit in Denver, but he is a guy that would come off the bench they need a legitimate starter who can fill their shooting gaurd role.
