<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Kentucky freshman Randolph Morris will enter the 2005 NBA Draft but not sign with an agent, leaving open the option of returning to the Wildcats for his sophomore season, CBS SportsLine.com has learned. The 6-foot-11, 265-pound Morris averaged 8.8 points and 4.2 rebounds in 19.8 minutes as a freshman. He's not ready for the NBA from a skill perspective, but his size and back-to-the-basket inclinations will merit a look from NBA scouts. </div> source I can only hope that this is intended to get him a pre-draft camp invite
NO!!! He's definitely not ready, but I am glad he isn't doing what Azubuike did and hire an agent right away. Morris still needs to work on posting up on players bigger than him and needs to work on scoring over the bigger guys. He'll get murdered in the NBA!

Wow I am shocked right now, I mean this kid has talent but I don't think he is near ready for the league. Two or even three more years under Tubby could have got him a lottery pick but right now I am saying late first round at the best. I bet he will be back, I think he is only out there to test the waters, see if he can make a good impression and if scouts say then he will go lottery then he will stay but I am 95% sure that he won't unless he has killer workouts. Don't worry Kentucky fans, he'll be back.
I'm honestly shocked by this one. I don't know what's happening at Kentucky. They are going to be hurting next year if Morris makes this official. Losing Hayes, Azubuike, and Morris? I wouldn't put them in my top twenty-five if that happened. I wouldn't be so sure that college would help his stock. I mean, afterall, look at Torin Francis, Chris Thomas, Kelvin Torbert, etc. Many times going back to college has been more hurtful than accepting a late first round or early second round draft pick. There are still a lot of questions about this kid. He dominated on the High School level but only averaged about nine points and four rebounds at Kentucky, granted he was in a crowded frontline and was only a Freshman. His career high in points is 25 and his career high in rebounds is 12. Why would you draft him over Diogu who is not far from averaging 25 points and 12 rebounds?
Not too familiar with college basketball and aren't on you guys level (especially Courtking ), but this is good for me. This brings yet another center in the draft. Draft City ranked him #5 in their 2006 Mock Draft, but how well do you think he might do in this years draft?

I don't even consider Morris a good college player, and calling him a first round pick is absurd. The kid isn't consistent enough to take his game a level higher and will get mudered in the NBA. But the P word may be the only reason he goes first round.
