Well the Magic have just reported that John Weisbrod has resigned. This could mean that the problems with Francis are cleared up and that he will stay in Orlando.
^exactly, I think Francis likes where he is atand wants to stay there....people are saying they should sign mobley again, but them playin on the same team will eventually cause problems between the 2 of them since there so close, and they will get sick of eachother, I am sure many people have told both of them that... Steve Francis is my favorite player hands down, and I became a Orlando Magic fan because he got traded, so if he got traded man I would have to buy another jersey = / and then the magic will be my 2nd fav team, but I don't see him getting traded since Weisbrod is gone. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting The Flash 45:</div><div class="quote_post">Im a huge Magic fan but Francis has to go. He is not a true point guard. He forces the drive too much and he is the turnover king. Francis could possibly get traded to Atlanta for their number 1 pick and we give them a future number 1. Atlanta is looking for youth and a backcourt and they seem interested in Francis. We might trade Francis to Denver for Andre Miller and Nene. Or to the Lakers for Caron Butler and Chuky Atkins.</div> First of all having alot of turnovers is normal look at Dwayne Wade who leads the league in Turnovers (aka Turnover King) and look who else is on that list a bunch of good players, people turn the ball over no matter who you are, that list will always be topped by stars. Without Steve Francis, the orlando magic would be having the best chances to get a lottery pick tomorow if they wouldnt of had him in the season lets face it, when he was out for his suspension of kicking a camera man ....they played the bobcats and lost to the bob cats back to back , they need francis to win.....it was just a very hard year on him Why is everyone being hard on Francis? He is easily in the top 10 of best players in the league EASILY, hes not even in his prime yet, he had a horrible 1st season with the Orlando Magic not bad stat wise tho. They had a real good record, then they started slumping.... he lost his best friend by the stupidest trade of the season which got them christy (who got hurt), suddenly after that trade there record droooooopsss and then he got snubbed from the all star team and big coaching changes and he got moved around to shooting guard and hes not use to that so he was just learning how to play it better, plus all that frustration just adds up hes only human you know. Stve Francis is good man, trading him would be the dumbest thing ever....I bet you Orlando will make the playoffs and be atleast 6th or 5th seed in the east atlest. Dwights second year will be better, Jameers second year will be better, Steve Francis can only get better.... so keep the franchise because he is truly the best player on the magic and he will be a leader this year. .... Steve Francis won't let yall down, I have a feeling hes gonna make somethin big happen next year be on the lookout.... Go Magic! 05-06 Season is ours! ps: sorry for the long post

Too good teams that made the 2nd round of the playoffs this year. Right now I see them battling for the 7th spot with teams like Philly, Jersey, and Cleavland. Francis is a great player but he doesnt really make his team better. And because of that I dont really think he's top 10 worthy. Last year he would dominate the ball alot and that made it hard for Yao to get Involved. That obviously led to a trade for McGrady. Francis is a soldier tho. He'll fight all game, play with all his heart, and have his teammates back. I think givin the right team Francis can become a Superstar and he has that opportunity in Orlando. It all depends on how the Magic handle their situation.
Don't get me wrong I like Francis a lot but I just didn't like what he did on the court. He needs to play more under control, but turnovers our a killer. His shot is horrible, we all know that. I think one game against Washington he went 2-13 or something like that. Hopefully Brian Hill will straighten him out.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting custodianrules2:</div><div class="quote_post">Now that's ironic, considering he was drafted by the Grizzles back when they were in Vancouver and he demanded to be traded. If Steve Francis likes Mobley so much, maybe the Kings could try to pull for him. However, I don't think that he is an upgrade over Mike Bibby. Bibby scores, dishes it out, turns the ball over less. Francis is the better rebounder, dribble penetrator and defender, though.</div> In my opinion, Francis would be a better fit than Bibby with the Kings. For the exact reason you just pointed out. He's a better rebounder, dribble penetrator, and defender. Think about it, Francis kicking it out to Mobley or Stojacovic for a 3? Now they'll be really putting some points on the board. As long as Francis can stay selfish free, that would be a great move for the Kings. I think Francis was a ball hog in Orlando because he really didn't have anyone else around him that could score every night like him. Yeah they had there people who dropped 20 points here and there, but Francis could do it every game. You need 2 or 3 consistent scorers on your team to have any chance of winning night in and night out.

Francis was not only a ball hog in Orlando, but in Houston too. He controls the ball way too much. Put Francis on any team, and it won't change his game, he'll still control the ball and be the selfish player he is. It's just him.
I don't think Francis has the long range shot to play in SacTown. It seems like a lot of Bibby's points come from behind the arc after another guy dishes the ball out to him. Francis has a terrible three point shot so I think the Kings would have to adjust their offense if Francis were to join them.
