<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SAN ANTONIO ? The agent for Ray Allen said no talks are planned between him and the Seattle SuperSonics on a possible contract extension, and the two sides likely will not talk again until he speaks to other teams interested in signing Allen. ?It appears as if he is going to become a free agent,? said agent Lon Babby, attending Tuesday?s playoff game between the Sonics and San Antonio Spurs to watch Allen and Bruce Bowen, who also is a client of Babby?s. Asked what the odds are of Allen remaining a Sonic, Babby responded: ?You can?t handicap these things. It?s a process that has got to unfold. Where it goes remains to be seen.? Babby said he is surprised the sides were not able to come to an agreement given the optimism that Allen?s side had entering negotiations earlier in the season. He said they nearly had an agreement when Babby and general manager Rick Sund met during the All-Star break in Denver in February.</div> Source Both sides are $5Million apart, so it should be interesting to see what other teams are willing to offer Allen. Do you think he's worth $80Million for the next 5 years?
Ray Allen to Cleveland!!!! give these guys his 3 point presents and we've got a serious playoff contender (James, Ilgauskus,Allan)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting legendisdope:</div><div class="quote_post">naw he aint worth dat much money..hes going to get old and not be as good any more.</div> he's the sole reason we got past the first round!!! HE'S A SHOOTER!!... all he has to do is come off screens and jog back down again and again. ala... Reggie, Hamilton, Allen Houston. He wont be able to penetrate.. maybe.. but the shot will always be there!
I think Ray has a better chance to go to the finals in a weaker eastern conference with a team like Cleavland. That would be a real good team with James, Allan and Z.
