C'mon SF, you don't want to let a silly thing like statistics get in the way of a legend.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (porky88)</div><div class='quotemain'>Collins is a joke now. He was good but now he done and made himself a joke.

Carr is not better. How many playoffs has Carr went to. Plus he has a wideout in Andre Johnson.

    Harrinton=BUST as does Ramsey.

Boller hasn't done anything special and needs to prove people wrong.

Granted those are not all bad QB's but is wrong with Mike Vick. He is an elite PLAYER not a QB. Give him Andre Johnson to throw up to and we will see how good his numbers are.

To continue my list AJ Feely,JP Losman,Rex Grossman,Brian Greise. Want more.</div>

You continue to prove how much you don't know about football every time you post. First off, Carr is better. Did you forget that Carr was drafted into an expansion team? Vick was drafted into a team that went to the Super Bowl about 2 years before that. Secondly, Vick has someone called Peerless Price. He caught the ball 94 times for 1252 yards the year before he came to Atlanta. Then Michael Vick started throwing him the ball and his stats dropped drastically. Now that tells me two things, either Vick isn't skilled enough to get the ball to Price, or the offense Atlanta uses doesn't use the WR position very well. Now I know Vick has a cannon, which is why I've been leaning towards the second reason more and more. With that in mind, it should tell you two things. Either Michael Vick is not a good QB, or an impact WR would not fit in the system without changing it. I'm so tired of hearing Michael Vick has no help, because he has more than enough help. He doesn't carry the team, and he is no where near a top QB. His production is pathetic compared to players like Manning, McNair, McNabb, Culpepper, or any of the other top QB's. End of story

Since we are throwing out statistics. Carr had 1200 more yards than Vick last year, 5 point higher QB rating, and more TDs. btw 1200 yards is more than Andre johnson caught so you cant say it just cuz of him

You should talk. Price had 1 good year and then he is considered a Superstar. hmmmmmmmm. Plus he played opposite of Eric Moulds who had his best season the year Price did good. So that opened things up for Price. I agree that Vick is no Manning,Culpepper, or McNabb. Even McNabb's numbers weren't the greatest before he had TO who is an elite NFL player.hmmmmmmmmm. Intresting you say Carr is a better QB. <span style="color:blue">Vick's career rating is 76.9.</span> Now I no thats not that good but<span style="color:blue"> Carr's rating is 72.3.</span> hmmmmm. Plus Carr has Andre Johnson who is a quality #1 reciever and Price is only a #2. Yet Vick has a better rating and you seem to think Carr is a better QB. I am not saying Vick is as good as Manning. When have I said that? I am saying he is GOOD. Not GREAT. A GOOD QB in the NFL because he wins games.

No that is a good team wins games. A good QB effectively passes the ball.

Again i will make the point that the Falcons with Vick are 20-11-1 and without him are 5-11 in the last 3 seasons. hmmmmmmm. Plus Vick was adjusting to a new system last season. So I am sure he will do a little better this year. He is not Peyton Manning but he is not Spergon Wynn either.

He is not the only difference in those records. they lost people going into 5-11 season, and gained players going into the next season. You are giving vick too much credit

No you aren't giving him enough credit. They went 9-6-1 with the same coaches that they went 5-11 with. Only difference was Vick played. Name a player outside of Rod Coleman that was a special signing from 5-11 to 11-5. Even the year he was hurt they came back with him and won their last 2 games of the season. Including a win against the Panthers.hmmmmmmm.

On 10/24/04, when Atlanta last played Kansas City, I believe the final score was 56-10, Chiefs! Yeah, Gunther Cunningham will probably lose sleep from the fear of facing them again. By the way, that was the pathetic 7-9 Chiefs too.</div>

That was the game Preist would have had like 7 TD's had he not been hurt...didn't he have 4 and blaylock have 3 or vice versa?</div>

Here were Priest & Blaylock's numbers for that game. Atlanta had the #1 ranked defense vs. the run going in.

    RUSHING
    ATT YDS TD LG
    P. Holmes 22 139 4 16
    D. Blaylock 19 90 4 16

Yea I was surprised by the way the Cheifs played last year. I think they have a great year this year competing with SD all year for the division crown. I have a hunch Priest will do just fine.

Vick can't hold Carr jockstrap....if he had a defense and played in the NFC he would make the playoffs in his sleep...and Price would be a legit receiver too...

I see you've given up the good fight JB. But things change and Mike Vick may have the last laugh. Even though I think he's overrated, I do think he has unlimited potential. Realizing that potential will be the tough part...

I gave this argument up long ago. Now I'm just waiting for Vick to prove me right. I see a ton of potential in him, and now I'm at the point where I'm just hoping it will shine through and then not only will Vick have the last laugh, but I will too.

I'm crossing my fingers for Vick's full potential to come through in the next 2 seasons, because being wrong just doesn't settle well with me. [IMG]

I give up. I posted the QB ratings and they still are going nutz. WHEN Mike Vick has the last laugh JB and I will remind you guys about Carr and Collins being "better" QB's than Mike Vick.
Carr was sacked 49 times and Vick 46. Yet Vick gets sacked so much more than any other QB in football. Vick had less INT's as well.

Vick actually gets sacked more and throws more picks as a %. He just does not have nearly as many pass attempts. Carr QB rating was 5 points better than vicks last year. He also had 1200 more yards. He is clearly the better QB.
