<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Nets assistant Brian Hill disclosed yesterday that he interviewed for the Orlando coaching vacancy with Magic GM John Weisbrod on Monday. "We had a good meeting, but that's about all I can say," Hill said yesterday from a beach in New Smyrna, Fla., about an hour east of his off-season home in Orlando. "I don't know what's going to happen, so we just have to sit back and wait and see." Hill is considered one of four candidates for the position, along with Eric Musselman, Chris Jent and Flip Saunders. The East Orange native has a home-court advantage, of sorts: He was the Magic coach from 1993 through the infamous player uprising of 1996-97, when Penny Hardaway led a revolt that forced general manager John Gabriel to fire Hill after a 24-25 start. That move was met with widespread derision throughout the NBA, if only because Hill led the Magic to 50, 57, and 60 victories in his three full seasons as head coach, plus a trip to the 1995 NBA Finals. Hill has been Lawrence Frank's top lieutenant since joining the Nets in January 2004. </div> Source

I really like Brian Hill. He's a respected person around the league, and is a very close friend with Shaq, which is irrelevant. His contribution to Laura Frank's system is clear. Just look at the way Vince plays defence for the Nets and compare it to when he was a Raptor. It's all Brian Hill.
