<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Mike Fratello said Thursday that the Cavaliers' postseason drought could end, especially under the direction of a coach like Eric Musselman, who according to an NBA source interviewed for the team's coaching vacancy earlier this week. Fratello, the last coach to lead the Cavaliers to the playoffs in 1998, said: "He can be that guy to take them to the playoffs. If [the organization] gives him a GM that evaluates talent and they get some talented players over the summer, he can definitely take them to the playoffs. The team will love his energy and his dedication to the game." Musselman, an assistant to Fratello with the Memphis Grizzlies, is one of many coaches that Cavs owner Dan Gilbert has expressed interest in to replace the fired Paul Silas and interim coach Brendan Malone. That list of coaching candidates include Musselman, Flip Saunders and Maurice Cheeks. </div> Source
I guess if the Cavs can't get Flip Saunders, then Musselman would be the next best canidate. Musselman didn't do too bad when he coached the Warriors with the talent he was provided with, and I love how he's a defensive minded coach. I believe he has a nice coaching career ahead of him, but I doubt it will be at Cleveland, though.
